😭 I'll try my best to explain😭 Basically football is a game between two teams, each of the two teams consists of a maximum of 11 starting players but during the match these players may be replaced by substitutes, the players may touch and move the ball with any part of their body except their arms, however the goalkeeper has the advantage of being able to use any part of his body to move the ball but only within his penalty area.

Each match will be controlled by a main referee who is in charge of the match, he has 2 assistant referees (or lineman) to assist him in making decisions, he also has a fourth referee who's the one who corroborates him, controls the substitutes and technical staff. This fourth one, also indicates the substitutions and the increase of the regulation time, the duration of a match is 90 minutes, each half being 45 minutes, with an intermediate rest period of a maximum of 15 minutes, however sometimes most of the time is lost during the match and since time must be made up at the end of each half, the main referee decides the length of the extension. The objective of the sport is to score more goals than the opponent and a team is considered to have scored a goal when the ball completely crosses the goal line of the opponent's goal

The referee can warn a player or technical team if they commit any type of foul, with a yellow card (warning) or red card (expulsion), if a player receives a red card, they'll be expelled from the field and cannot be replaced by another, also if a player receives two yellow cards in the same match, they'll receive a red card and be sent off.

There are different types of kicks, for example, if a player tries to hit or hits another player, pushes, holds, spits on them, the referee will give a direct free kick in favor of the team that didn't commit the infraction, which will be executed from the place of the infraction, if it occurred inside the own penalty area, regardless of the position of the ball and whether the ball is in play, a penalty kick can be given or if a player plays in a dangerous manner or hinders an opponent, an indirect free kick will be scored in favor of the team that did not commit the infraction.

If the ball leaves the field of play over a goal line after being touched by a defending player, a corner kick will be given to the opposing team, or if it is last touched by an attacker, a goal kick will be given to the defending team and if the ball leaves the field along one of the sidelines, a throw-in will be given to the team that did not touch the ball last.

An offside is an invalid position of a player if he intervenes in a play and is in front of the penultimate opponent when the player who makes the pass stops touching the ball; However, this rule depends on other factors.

The positions are: Goalkeeper, defense (central, lateral, free and lane defense), midfielder (pivot, midfielder and interior) and forward (second forward, center forward and winger) There is also extra time and the penalty shootout, which is basically with big championships and there is a tie. Extra time would go first and if the tie is not broken in that time, they would go to penalties until there is a winner.

You and Antoine met through your jobs. He’s a football player while you worked as a sport journalist. You did some interviews with him while he was playing for the french national team since you lived in Paris. Just a couple of interviews later he asked you out and honestly you didn’t know what to say.

Your last relationship ended with your boyfriend cheating on you with your best friend so you didn’t know what to tell him. But you couldn’t resist his puppy eyes so you simply said yes. He wanted to take you out in one of those chic and fancy restaurants here in Paris.

While you were getting ready Antoine texted you that he couldn’t wait to see you.

You opted for a long black dress and a pair of heels, your make up classy and not too heavy.

He picked you up from your apartment around 7pm and you will never forget the face he made when he saw you.

“Wow…” he said simply stating at you.

“It’s nice to see you again” you replied laughing a bit and hugging him. He kissed your cheek and it made you blush.

He opened the door for you and you sat into his very luxurious and expensive car.

The ride was silent but comfortable. His hand on your right slightly massaging your soft skin through your dress. Low music playing in the background.

Once you arrived he opened the door of the restaurant for you and helped you sitting.

You proceeded to order your food, everything with a much expensive bottle of champagne.

Dinner was nice and comfortable, you got to know more about each other. Of course he decided to pay, as a real gentleman, even if you wanted to offer dinner.

“What about if we take a walk around here? There’s a nice park just a couple of minutes from here…” he asked hoping you would say yes.

“Sure” you replied smiling.

“Did you like the food? That was one of my favorite restaurant here in Paris” he asked you

“I loved it”

“I’m glad, but next time we’re going to my favorite place” you said

“So there’s going to be a next time?” he teased you a bit

“If you want to…”

“I’d love to” he said grabbing your hand and placing a kiss upon it.

You were falling in love.

You were falling hard.

You continued walking a little bit but then you stopped when you realised you got in front of the eiffel tower. It was so beautiful, sparkling in the middle of the night.

You stopped and admired it.

“Y/n…” Antoine called you trying to catch your attention.

You turned your face to him.

“I like you” he said “I like you, no, I love you a lot…more than a friend should, I know i’m not good with words and I’m probably rumbling right now but I want you to know that I have feelings for you…I’ve liked you since the first time i’ve seen you, that day you were interviewing me, I couldn’t concentrate because I was so mesmerised by your beauty and kindness…I just, I love you” he said looking straight into your eyes

“Antoine…”

“Don’t say anything please, I know I’ve just probably ruined our friendship but I needed you to know”

“It’s not that…I-I really like you too, a lot, it’s just” you stopped trying to think what to say “my last relationship was a completely disaster and-and I’m scared”

“Scared of what?” he said cupping your cheeks

“Scared of falling in love again…I just can’t-It hurt so much the first time”

“I’ll never hurt you baby, never”

“That’s what he said before cheating on me with my best friend…”

“What a dick!” he said trying to lighten the mood a bit and it made you laugh

“I’m not perfect y/n, but I promise you that if you give me your heart I’ll protect it as if it’s the most important thing on the whole planet, I’ll give you my all, everything for you…just give me one chance” he said almost crying

You didn’t have time to think in that moment so you did the most obvious thing.

You kissed him.

Under the stars and the lights of the Eiffel Tower.

He melted into your kiss that cried a bit when you separated for breathing.

Just a few seconds later he grabbed your waist and kissed you again.

“I’ll love you for the rest of my life” he said and you nodded.

That’s exactly how it went.

You’re still a very happy and healthy couple, now expecting their first child together.
