Blacked out in front of my tablet and woke up with sketches of my Touchstarved mc + Kuras my beloved. woops
#I found out dr. kuras is 6'6 I said hold on lemme get a stool so I can climb this man#touchstarved#touchstarved game#touchstarved kuras#kuras#sleepyscribble#oc.emma#my mc is meant to be a self insert but also like. I wanted to come up w a design and character arc and everything jkvkvk#so I ended up basing her on my personality/looks but taking her into a direction that would fit the game#she's like. me but 'characterized' and a bit exaggerated for the sake of being a character yk#the way she turned out is that she's basically a friendly happy go lucky mage who laughs at her own misery but hides#a deep layer of self loathing underneath all that bc of her curse#having been cursed all her life she believes she's a monster and the sunny personality is a way for her to 'make up for it'#but at the same time she feels like a farse. like she's only luring ppl in to an inevitable demise#and she thinks she's selfish bc despite knowing the danger she poses she still goes out there and puts herself among ppl#bc she craves human connection. even tho she feels guilty for 'indulging' in it#anyway I love the cursed mc concept in this game <3 it's been really interesting to think abt how that would affect someone#also I kept her physical features looking pretty much like mine#bc I wanted to draw myself in a cute way. teehee#but the clothing I was basically thinking like. early game simple clothing that she didn't rlly pick for herself#and maybe later I can have an updated design w something she would actually pick for herself

It’s important to remember that wyatt has been raised in a war zone and more or less as a soldier. Unintentionally of course and its highly due to environmental and circumstantial factors. But no one has ever raised a child who’s been constantly hunted by demons, who has had no innocence or that ‘ignorant bliss’ a child would have and that has the power to level a world.
No one wanted him to be raised like that, to expose him to death and letting him kill at, what, like ? Not even two years old. But when it was between his life, theirs and the demons (or anyone threatening him) there wasn’t a choice. Its an unintentional side effect and leo, being an ACTUAL soldier and piper, paige and phoebe who are more or less soldiers themselves because of the insanely hard lives they’ve lived & the decisions they’ve had to make, they don’t know how damaging it is or how wrong it is that a baby is so ready to kill.
Obviously it’d be a different story to them if the vic was human. But that’s still a baby killing ya know? When i say hes like a soldier I don’t mean it in the sense that hes all rigid and strict. I mean it in the sense that, if you worry about empathy and sympathy and morals its whats going to get you killed and your team killed. So when he sees the bad guys, no matter who or what they are, its kill or be killed. He thinks its what hes supposed to do because hes been taught it from day one. That freaking wizard or whatever tried to kill him so his DAD is literally ‘okay its only fair your turn now wy’.
So when hes older its no surprise as to why he values survival above all else (because he thinks its what hes supposed to do) and why morals don’t exist (good vs bad) to evil him. Because hes had to do whatever he can to survive and if he’d worried about what was good or bad he would have died (he almost did) in the unchanged future.
But in the changed future he just does these things that leave people terrified of him because he just knows that, well, its only normal to kill bad guys. I know their shock is more related to his power. But in imaginary fiends that was only one example of people being scared of him because of his completely cold and straight forward / unfeeling disposition towards ‘vanquishing demons’ (which lets remember they weren’t even demons they were cursed witches). He is good and he knows the difference between right and wrong. But he also knows the importance of making a decision, acting, and doing whatever it takes to keep people safe.
And sometimes, this can lead to very brutal kills from him and then everyone is SHOCKED. And when he doesn’t see what is wrong with it, he vanquished the demon after all, didn’t he? They get even more disturbed. But hes LITERALLY a child of war and its only what they’ve taught him (again they never meant to but its just what happens when you tell a kid its okay to kill bad guys. That there’s nothing wrong with it. Despite it still, more or less, being murder).
But, as an adult. Seeing how people react, he starts to feel like he IS doing the wrong thing. So that’s where you get him standing back and NOT fighting (imaginary fiends) unless hes told to or needs to. Its why Chris seems to be the one ‘in charge’ because wyatt is constantly holding himself back and, when hes an adult, it goes from his parents trying to right the trauma and unintentional training as an attack dog or weapon, to Chris doing it. But its tough because Wyatt has been taught differently. Sure the next gen and chris have experienced messed up things and know when they need to fight. But a lot of them have had a more normal childhood than wyatt. They haven’t had powers from existence. They haven’t had powers or a reputation people use for themselves (and im not really talking about evil this time). They were kinda just like piper, paige, prue and phoebe as kids.
Wyatt, wyatt has always known to fight and that the world is dangerous. I mean, he wasnt even born yet before he started fighting and protecting (ofc he doesn’t remember that but its still ? Idk? I guess imprinted to who he is). So Chris cant just straight up tell him that hes being an idiot or wrong or acting out of line (unless ofc hes CLEARLY acting out of line) he has to be a PARENT to him. And you know that’s exactly why wy & chris’ brotherly relationship is sooooo bad for Chris. Its very toxic. Because its not just brothers. Its not an equal relationship. Chris has probably been taught that wyatt is his responsibility. Ofc, piper and leo never would have intended to do that. But you know with how Chris saved him before, they put a lot of pressure on him because of that. ‘Watch out for your brother’. So, really, chris has always been more of a parent rather than a brother.
Wyatt doesn’t think so but he is SO dependent on Chris. He needs him. He needs his family. And, just like a soldier after war (though ofc wy hasn’t been to REAL war) he has a very hard time in the real world. Magic is all hes known. And when it comes to the very famous line by phoebe ‘wrong thing done for the right reason is still the wrong thing’ he struggles immensely! Because that ISN’T what hes been taught. Bad guys are bad guys. He knows he cant hurt innocents but hes always struggling with himself on that because if someone is evil, if they’re hurting people, then him sitting by and doing nothing is the wrong thing. He wont ever go after them unless they pose a serious threat to others or (really his family he wont ever let someone go if they hurt his family unless Chris stops him) but he definitely gets very uncomfortable and thinks hes being selfish.
Again, to bring it back to the comics and prue. Prue is wyatts aunt. His mother is insanely close to her. But when he knows somethings wrong with her and that shes ‘not prue’ (also lemme scream over how wy never calls prue aunt prue. Though i will have to double check bc i DO think he says aunt actually idk) its ‘his job’ to vanquish her. He was GOING to kill her. and that panel alone is so INSANELY messed up but its the perfect example of how his life has twisted him into thinking its normal to kill people who threaten those you love. And the weirdest thing is that it IS prue that hes talking about shes just tainted by the soul of an old one. So while everyone is trying to save her, wyatt is the only one who knows how dangerous she is, how she doesn’t care anymore, how ‘she isn’t prue’ because the real prue wouldn’t hurt her family like this. So shes the monster and she needs to be vanquished to save his family.
Hes doing the right thing in his mind. So can you imagine if he’d managed to hurt her? Or was caught trying to kill her? Yeah, try explaining to him that its wrong when all hes been taught is that its okay to ‘vanquish evil’ and that it needs to happen despite who it is.
Its just. Sad. Because there’s going to be so many moments in his life where he vanquishes something in a completely cold and brutal way. And everyone is just going to freak out. But he acts normal because it IS normal to him. His conditioning is so messed up and it just adds so much to his character especially when you consider how its that conditioning plus severe continuous trauma that makes him evil in the unchanged future. He is the same person as he was then. Only this time, he has his family and isn't dramatically traumatised into an obsessive need for power.
