my absolute favorite thing is how nate and hugh are both very particular different brands of sunshine and everything sgsdhf nate is the reluctant hero who just wanted to help his friend (crush) & then help everyone else & help the pokemon (and gets compared to The Hero hilbert all the time along the way) while hugh is a thunderstorm fiercely protective and caring with a bit of anger issues but so thankful for his friend (obliviously crush) & the mutual care and support and pushing each other to keep getting stronger
