The day Peter became a father was the day that anything else he had going on ceased to matter. That included the building a pack thing Crystal had been pushing for. His daughter was his entire world and there wasn't a damn thing he wouldn't do for her. Even if it meant going against her mother and you didn't go against Crystal. Not if you valued yourself because that woman was a tornado ripping apart anything that got in her way. He was only sorry he learned that too late.
Having done his fair share of research on the law and finding the right representation, Peter landed himself in Alice Lockwood's office with no appointment and his young daughter tagging along.
"Excuse me, ma'am," Peter greets as he peaks in through the office door, voice apologetic. "Sorry to bother ya, I don't have an appointment or anything but I was hoping you could spare me a little time. In some desperate need of some help."

the twilight has long since faded into blackness. the orange glow of streetlamps doing little to pave way for the bright stars hanging overhead, having been beckoned by the glow of a full moon. but even though the moonlight is shining and lighting a path on the otherwise darkened streets, it does little to illuminate the area outside of the dormitories. the back entrance is stashed between a narrow alleyway the remnants of a nearby park. it’s so encompassed by shrubbery and fencing that it makes it almost impossible for one to navigate to the hidden entryway, but sunmi has long since memorized the route since trainee days when she’d come to pick up aera from hanging out with haneul later on in the evenings when he wasn’t able to bring her back himself due to practices or other obligations.
and it’s those same two that are the reason the blonde had clambered over a particularly thorny rosebush in order to find the concealed entrance. sunmi lets out a huff when she staggers towards the door frame, pausing only to check her phone for the millionth time that evening. no new phone calls, and no new text messages. even when she had called their main vocalist a handful of times already tonight. the last thing she had gotten was a cute emoticon. sunmi had even reached out to their manager twice, and both times the man had assured her that aera was in good hands — she was with haneul, and the two of them were practicing for their appearance at the awards ceremony next weekend. but even though the man had tried to soothe her concerns with reassurances, she’d still grown worried, and had left their own dorm before haeun or any of the other girls even had a chance to throw in her two cents about how sunmi should really stop involving herself into this affair.
these two are going to be the cause of my death, she’s stubbornly decided, tapping on the screen of her cellphone a few times. she presses park haneul’s contact and lifts the receiver to her ear, waiting as it rings a series of times before going to voicemail. that was so strange. were those two really so engrossed in rehearsal that neither of them checked their phones for hours? the younger girl had been gone for the entire day, but had assured them that she’d be back before nightfall. what exactly were they up to if not rehearsing lines? the girls normally relayed information if plans changed. and surely, aera could be a little oblivious, but she often checked her phone whenever she was able. she had been in the group chat a few hours before and hadn’t mentioned anything other than things were going well, so why wasn’t she answering now?
a few less than favorable ideas present themselves in sunmi’s mind, and she swears on her entire career that if park haneul has so much as made one unrehearsed move on aera then she’ll kill him where he stands. break his bones and throw him to the executives. that’ll sure be a scandal. but she wouldn’t be murdering anyone tonight if someone doesn’t open the door. and so, she resorts to a plan that is even less favorable than what she had in mind about the two love birds, and scrolls through her contacts before she lands on a certain hong chaemin in her address book. lifts the phone to her ear and before he even has a chance to spew off his usual nonsense, she cuts him off. “ come down and open the door for me. ”
