funny how for paper books, 500 pages is no problem. but apparently I’ve gotten so used to 10h audiobooks that I cannot remember how to read anything much longer.
#10h is like 300 pages#anyway reading the poppy war and it's 18h oof#this would go so much better in paper#but on the other hand i wouldn't read it then#idk it's weird since i get so many recs from booktube or other reviews i never have a concrete sense anymore of which books are long or shor#t#i guess i used to just pick stuff up at the library or find books for my list there#and then ofc i have a great sense of how long it is#this way i do not#you can imagine my surprise when checking out this is how you lose the time war#4h????#tf?#anyway poppy war is good and all so far#but i do feel like the entire 40% i've read so far could have been condensed a lot into a prologue#i'm not exactly sure where this is going but it feels like this bit is just going to wind up being a prologue eventually#mine#books
