Some of my favorite free online sources for compiling info!!
(some of this may be biased towards medicine because I’m a medicine nerd but most should be general!)
https://archive.org
^ this baby has free movies, books, and the famous Wayback Machine (lets you see the internet at an earlier state), along with other things such as gifs, audio, and computer programs! It functions as a massive online library, with various borrowing times! (I usually use this for looking up textbooks... best thing ever)
https://www.khanacademy.org/profile/me/courses
Classic right here!! on khan academy, you can learn lots of standard highschool courses, and have College Board approved SAT prep, all for free!! it also offers a coding course, and lots of AP classes. material is mostly composed through video, with occasional exercises and readings. You can find most of the vids on YouTube as well! (have been using this since the 6th grade- I now use it mostly for prep and figuring out stuff my teacher doesn’t explain.)
https://rarediseases.org/for-patients-and-families/information-resources/rare-disease-information/
are you interested in medicine and diseases that no one has heard of in their life?? this is the site to be! it has a beautiful organizational system, and lots of info supported by approved researchers. the information learned on this site can be used to further research elsewhere on the internet.
https://www.pdfdrive.com
here is probably the most stable and virus-free (I’m like 90% sure) website for book pdfs you’ll ever see online. once you download a book, it goes straight to the downloads section of your computer, or to Apple Books. great site, easy reading!! have fun!!
