โMy wife is actually for repealing the 19th amendment and thinks other women should be tooโ is such a red flag. Is she though. Does she really.
(For my non-American followers, the 19th amendment gurantees women the right to vote)
#if you *as a Christian* seriously believe women are a) so subserviant to men they shouldn't vote#b) that women are not mentally equipped to deal with the 'rigors' of voting#or insert whatever nonsense here#how is that a partner you respect. how is that a partner you experience mutual submission to#how is that a partner you afford the dignity of personhood to#yes voting isn't the end all be all of this argument but i'll be damned if it isn't a good litmus test#ps when i say the 'dignity of personhood' this goes twofold with both a) respecting your partner and#b) allowing your partner to exist outside of the relationship#(in this case having an opinion she's allowed to express)#can you have a relationship with someone you so infantlize? who is not an equal in your eyes? i surely hope not
