Albatrio redesign! I wanted to make it look like if they were in a show/cartoon, they could stand together in frame and look like a part of a natural set

The two main contrasting colors I tried to use throughout were either red and blue or orange and blue. Both Chip and Jay tone down Gillion's pallete while still being colorful themselves.

Jay has more square shape language, which I feel fits her personality type. I leaned farther into the artificer typing and put my girls hair up in a way that was diff from the old design but was still true to practicality.

Gills design was based off of a lily pad, and I wanted it to becolorful to contrast his old design for story telling, to show how much he has grown in his own skin. I leaned heavy into mermaid core, trying to balance his stockiness with daintiness.

There wasn't anything to hold onto, though

She couldn’t get out of her head the man’s expression as they brought him to the front of the shooting range and secured him. He had looked at her in a way none of the scientists in their pristine white lab coats ever had.

With something the pictures of facial expressions she had been told to memorize said was awe, but that the spark of warmth in her chest said was hope. The more confusing part was how the man clearly recognized her, which shouldn’t be possible since all who had known and loved her died in the fire that stole her memories(the thought hurt, far worse than when they had stuck a knife in her arm and her to keep still as long as she could) and had left her so damaged that she had woken in the reconstruction pod her back was pressed against.

Why can't I see

They told her the man was a liar, a spy, he had killed innocent children and deserved to die, yet all she saw was someone who wanted to live. With clothes that looked well worn and comfortable. She saw someone worth saving and failed a test for the first time . . . that she could remember anyway.

The only time she got to wear something that wasn’t her training suit was when they were practicing infiltration. Then she wore the clothes she was handed and imitated the volunteer. The day she had been handed a Green dress she had been unable to stop smiling no matter how hard she tried to have a bored and slightly sad look on her face, like the volunteer had shown her.

Something about the green had lit the warmth in her chest, something that said, you know this, you like it. It means something.

What the hell's going on?

The longer she had been awake, the more the things she was told felt wrong. The more she learned and watched the more came back to her about before waking up, embraced by shimmering gold liquid, without even a name of her own.
