the fucked up de rolo sibling relationship is something that can actually be so personal....
#SO important to me that 1) the situation is not good and 2) it never becomes easy#we don't spend a lot of time with her realistically bc she is a side character npc. but if you ask me#she and percy just Don't Talk. they don't talk about things. they both avoid hard conversations#because hard conversations Are Not Done in their family. and maybe it's easier to pretend that the gulf of seething#betrayal and resentment between them doesn't exist and never existed and doesn't need mending#neither of them were each other's favorite sibling. that's just true. i love how much it hurts#because woven through it... they ARE siblings. and cassandra doesn't remember The Good Times the way percy does#and percy does not understand the briarwood years the way cassandra does. and just. god what if there was a gulf#that you could not cross without outside intervention in the form of vex 'what the fuck are you two doing' ahlia#also i've become a 'cass' favorite sibling was julius' truther don't ask where that came from i truly do not know
