Adam Driver Lovers:

When did your fascination with Adam begin? Before The Force Awakens, after? Ten minutes ago, when you found a post on Tumbr? Curious.

As for me, I watched GIRLS and discovered this incredibly talented actor who was sooo different from anyone before him. He made me laugh, smile, cringe, cry, and gasp. By the end of season 1, I was a goner. Especially since Hannah broke his heart, and I felt awfully protective. But I digress.

A few years later, I’m scrolling through Entertainment Weekly magazine, and they’re talking about casting for TFA. As a lifelong SW fan, I’m hungrily ingesting every bit of news; who’s returning, the plot, the new cast. Of course, I was eager to see who would be cast as Ben Solo. My eyes nearly bugged out of my sockets when Adam Driver was confirmed. I remember thinking, and I even said it aloud, “Oh, yes. Good choice. He will do nicely.”

Good Lord, I had NO idea just how much I would find those words true. I am a writer in my spare time, so I enjoy the aspects of feelings. My father used to call me a deep thinker, and a deep feeler. I get caught up in talent when I see it, because it impresses me. Adam Driver impresses me. Yes, he is gorgeous to a fault. At least, I think so. Lucky me; I have good eyes and an insight into the otherworldly, I suppose. Yes, he is charming. He is funny without meaning to be, and serious to the point of obsession. He seems to be a good husband, a good friend, and a good Samaritan. I find all of those things attractive about him. But it is his talent that takes me by surprise, makes me sit up and take notice, makes me giddy inside. He is a rare gem in a world of copycats. He is unique, special, and I feel blessed to be in a world where he can entertain me. So, share if you’d like your first foray into Adam Driver standom. Oh! and it was this photo that sealed the deal for me. I thought “Yes! This is Kylo/Ben
