now that i have finished thoroughly examining my ballot i find it notable how few candidates mention queer rights/healthcare in their campaign platforms
#also most incumbents are frustratingly vague and seem to obfuscate a lot#except for the state commissioner she had like a pdf on her platforms page abt how she planned to accomplish her goals#and it was easy to read and everything and also she explicitly mentioned advocating for trans healthcare#also there was this guy running for senate n i looked at his site bc he's registered as a democrat but his entire platform#just seems to be 'fuck elon musk and his self-driving cars' and it seemed like he had no opinions on anything else#the other democratic candidate aside from the incumbent was actually super conservative when you looked at his site!#his site was like 'the state needs to catch up w/modern technology. and that is why we should start investing in crypto'#and i was like 'NOPE! NOPE ABSOLUTELY NOT!'#*head in hands*#picking the senate candidate was hard bc a lot of them just looked So Incompetent#last time i voted was nov 2020. which is probably normal now that i think abt it#but i didn't look into anything rlly other than the president/senate/house rep slots and the propositions#this time i looked into Everything and i feel like i have Much Knowledge now#except for the judges i did not know where to find any information on any of the judges up for election except the attorney general#anyway. voting is basically just having opinions but like professionally it seems#the worm speaks
