one thing i will say is i see some people implying/theorizing stuff about the latest chapters that make me worried tobias is going to hit a pitfall of making self-aware video games that like 99% of other self-aware games fall into

#all games that try to relate back to player-character experience has a chance of hitting this roadblock #that is 'game makes you feel bad for your choices but your only option is to either play game or not play game'#like of course this could be purely due to fan interpretation making it sound like this game is Doing That #but i genuinely hope DR doesnt try for 'youre evil for trying to control kris' when this has been rehashed before #like do we need to go back to the WarGames quote of The Only Winning Move Is To Not Play #i hope the game isnt going in that direction though or is going to actually be interesting about it #but this is also the case for the theory of ralsei being actually evil where if thats true then tobias has downgraded #on his writing capabilities #but again this is all speculative from how ive seen other fans interpret the current chapters #which is to say. i am not hopeful if this is true
