my shit's been running on a queue here for a hot minute but i'm alive still aye

just going through it with not getting enough sleep so feeling like shit physically but i am also pretty stressed so mentally also kinda meh

still overwhelmed like always and struggling to get my ducks in a row and that leads to forgetting things and then recently i totally forgot about meeting a friend even though i was looking forward to it for so long and it all wasn't too terrible in the end but i think it just really amped my anxiety up so now i'm also stressed about things i might be forgetting which is yaknow... fun

moving ahead with my mental health stuff super slowly so that gives me hope but also i have to ask my mom questions about my childhood and stuff and that is extremely stressful and i worry she might not be honest and i'm scared that's going to affect my evaluation and i'm so tired of this shit. my last therapist/psych combo was so awful about it that it's now an additional worry in my endless list of worries

other than that i have my first festival coming where i'll be a merchant so i am also super stressed about that because i'm scared i'm gonna forget something or not have enough things to sell or have too many things and idk what people will buy and how should i price things considering local tax and all the numbers are freaking me the fuck out so it's just.. thumbs up all around

all in all, i'd like to have my brain fixed at least a little bit, it would make my life easier

Well, my pc runs like poopy, and I need it to run better

I've had this build since 2017, and have piecemeal upgraded it ever since. I wanted to upgrade to get some slightly better performance, nothing big, hence just upgrading one or two parts.

To give an idea, the most "modern" games I've played the past year are Street Fighter 6, Elden Ring, and LAD Infinite Wealth, all of which run just fine on it currently (Medium settings for all), but I want to stream the games (which is a struggle), and I'd like things to run slightly better so I don't feel like my PC is dying if I have one of them and Firefox open at the same time.

I tried to do this last year, and it didn't work out (which is when I learned my current MOBO is Intel CPUs only), so I just got a 1660 SUPER (a cheap used one that's falling apart lol) and called it a day.

I got my Tax Returns and want to spend a few extra bucks so I don't feel like like my computer is dying, and considering everything surrounding the build rn between liquid cooling, 32g of ram, and a shitload of memory, it's probably time I toss a few bucks out so it'll last longer than a year or two, and so I can actually stream stuff at framerates higher than 15.

Assuming the upgrades go well (it'll probably cost me less than $200 for just these two parts), I'll probably upgrade my GPU as well, but the only reason I'm not doing that right now is because I know my CPU is the bottleneck.

alright. new pc build question. can anybody tell me what i have to do to be able to use CPUs that aren't just Intel

I feel like i'm going insane. I thought it was the motherboard or case, but no, even if i were to change those, i'd still only get Intel CPUs as compatible
