and i stand by my opinion flint would win in a fight against stede, because the first episode literally ends with this shot of flint (spoiler, most of it isn't his):

like this is what i was talking about in my tags. there literally aren't words for how thoroughly flint would kill stede in a theoretical fight.

ppl genuinely weren't joking when they used the hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby pic for the poll. it is unspeakably funny for the sheer amount of overkill it would involve.

#blood cw #i would recommend black sails with the major caveat of a big tw for rape in the first series #it's one of the main plotlines and it's deeply fucked up #the best way of explaining it is that s1 was competing against got to be the successor to spartacus #in terms of nudity and sex #but s2 onwards is a masterpiece and legitimately the most thematic and well written show i've ever watched #not claiming it's perfect (i have a few issues w s4) but most of the 'problematic' stuff comes from in character decisions #and it's very clear that all the cast were very passionate about their characters and the story
