also i'm reasonably confident i did well XD

was saying to myself last night, pls let it not be a contact metamorphic rock - not bc i can't do them, but bc they're a fuckin pain in the ass to draw texture diagrams for.

so what did they throw at us in the exam? i'm 95% sure it was a spotted hornfels.

#this is a callout post for cordierite specifically #google will show u the nice clean fresh crystals if u look it up #but all the cordierite they've shown us so far has been decayed to hell and back lol #today's andalusite was also remarkably crappy #but there was some okay muscovite so it wasn't a complete dog's regurgitated breakfast to look at i guess
