#i am never more glad to be catholic than when i hear protestants talk about how people treat single women#i'm sure there are women in catholic circles who get pressure to marry too#but there's a wider understanding that marriage isn't the highest calling#a single woman *could* have a religious vocation#and even if she doesn't family isn't the only thing she can do with her life#we are all called to be saints no matter our station in life#so this makes the marriage obsession among protestants feel very weird and i'm very sorry for you all#and i hope it gets better
