good morning! This is a shoutout to all my partners who write male muses and neither ignore female muses altogether nor fellow male muses who like to explore a variety of dynamics that don’t necessarily lead to romance! The phenomenon I call covert fetishization is a real problem, where writers claim to only ship chemistry or aren't interested in mm romance only but their actions say otherwise. The reason why female muses feel brushed off by silent treatment so often, and the reason male muse writers like me keep running into walls of ignorance if we don't express immediate interest in romance. There's nothing wrong with only wanting mm romance, but pls be upfront. I'm so much more willing to ship when I see a fellow male muse writer engages without the instant prospect of romance, and when I see they put the same energy into writing with female muses. When their rules aren't misleading. You guys rock and I love you ❤️
