Also this is a crazy reveal! The evil looking guy is working for the guy who was nice! The nice guy was evil and faked his death! Kubo you sly fellow. Plus that panel of Aizen in Momo's pupil? Sick. Dope even. I am always reminded how good an artist Kubo is. It looks great.

Chapter 171 - End of Hypnosis3 (The Blue Fog)

Now we know why these chapters have been called End Of Hypnosis. Isn't story telling just neat! Aizen's ability is pretty cool. I like that the man who has been manipulating things from behind the scenes has the power that lets him be a manipulator.

Kubo also just keeps hitting us with these reveals in these chapters dog.

Hopefully we're going to learn this endgame soon. Especially since Kaname doesn't like fighting and wants peace. I want to see how Aizen has convinced him to achieve that.

this has some interesting worldbuilding implications. were ninja named after ninjutsu (these people use ninjutsu) or was it the other way around (ninja use these chakra techniques)? functionally, the only difference between ninja and samurai (in the naruto world) is that samurai don’t use jutsu and uhh make their swords out of chakra? or something. they don’t really show those guys. but then what defines a ninja other than not being a samurai? obviously it's not the ninjutsu thing, at least not anymore, since rock lee exists. it's not the real world assassins vs warriors thing either because many ninja aren't assassins (I don't think naruto ever kills a single person?). in the end this question doesn't really matter. you can pretty clearly tell when someone is a ninja. it's like how dogs all look different but they're all still dogs.

oh of course how could I be so thick thank you lord jiraiya for answering my question. but in all seriousness, yeah, pretty much. what jiraiya posits as the definition of a ninja is basically naruto's life philosophy and ergo the philosophy of the show.
