 Christine Ellen “Chrissie” Hynde (born September 7, 1951),  I always thought her last name was Hinde. She is a musician best known as a founding member and lead vocalist of the rock band The Pretenders.   The hippie counter-culture first inspired Hynde. e.  in 1978. She formed The Pretenders. Throughout the band’s 40-year run, Hynde has been the only consistent member. In 2014, she started a solo career. In 2005, she and the crew were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Hynde has worked with various artists.   She and the band still tour and make solid music. Hynde is one of the leading figures in rock music.

Christine Ellen Hynde (born September 7, 1951) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She is the founding member of the rock band The Pretenders.In 1978, she formed her own band, Pretenders, with Pete Farndon, James Honeyman-Scott and Martin Chambers. As singer, songwriter and guitarist, she has been the only constant member of the band throughout its history. She has also released a number of songs with other musicians including Frank Sinatra, Cher and UB40. I always thought Christine Ellen “Chrissie” Hynde (born September 7, 1951) last name was Hide. I found out it was Hynde after I started listening to her band The Pretenders where she is the vocalist-guitarist and learned founding member. Hynde was first inspired by the culture around in London in 1978. She formed The Pretenders. Throughout the band’s 40 years run Hynde has been the only consistent member. In 2014, she started a solo career. In2005, she and the band were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After the band took some time, off from 2012-2014 the band reunited and began to tour in 2016 to support their new album Hynde has worked with various artist. She is still a big name in rock music.
