warnings: stalking, yandere themes, obsessive behavior, drugging, kidnapping.

Your friends' shrieks and screams fade away as your gaze lands on the house of mirrors. You've always wanted to go in but your friends deemed it too boring and since you didn't want to go in alone you left the idea alone. But now looking at your friends being terrorized by the performers the idea slips into your mind again. Surely you could slip away for a few minutes without them noticing.

You walk towards the entrance excitement bubbling up inside you unaware of the pair of eyes following your figure.

The noises from outside get muffled you barely even hear them anymore as the darkness envelopes you.

The room is mostly dark, the shadows swimming around your reflection, the faint pink lights give off just enough light to see your reflection and now as you look around you in this big dark lonely room you feel chills climbing up your back, you began to wish you had dragged one of your friends with you but it’s too late now you’re already in the middle of countless mirrors and the only thing to do now is find your way out.

You began stumbling through the room, every once in a while bumping into one of the mirrors, you were getting flustered and nervous and it’s wasn’t helping that halfway through you began seeing shadows moving in step behind you, you’re sure it’s just your brain playing tricks, shadows always look like they’re alive and moving to the human brain but you just couldn’t help it. What if some psycho had followed you in here?

You cursed under your breath. You definitely should’ve come in with someone.

You began to hear shuffling and the room and your heart sped up. No one said that there would be someone to scare you here, did you miss something?

No this is definitely not a part of it.

It could well be just another person who’s just having fun and doesn’t give a single shit about you but you were too panicked to give them the benefit of the doubt. You tried to go through quickly, your arms outstretched in front of you to avoid the mirrors.

You stop dead in your tracks when you almost crash into someone’s chest. You crank your neck up and your eyes get blown wide when you see dark eyes and a wide grin staring back at you. He looks like a scary killer clown, was he one of the scare actors?

You can’t quite put your finger on it but he looks kind of familiar. He must of have been one of the staff here.

“Darling! finally we have a moment alone. I thought I’d never find you without your friends sticking to your side like a thorn.” Your heart drops. “W-what are you talking about? Is this some kind of script?” His scary grin falters a bit “script?” He mumbles before his face lights up again “Oh no silly! nothing like that. I’m nothing like the other fake ones around here I’m the real deal! What I feel for you is real~” Your gaze lowers to the specks of blood covering his clothes.

Real deal?

You have to get away. You turn on your heal ready to bolt when you’re immediately pulled back with his nails digging into your shoulders “Don’t run away from me!” He snarls and tears begin to gather in your eyes “Please.” You voice is barely above a whisper “No no no..don’t be sad. I don’t want to hurt you. I just..want to talk to you. All this time I watched and I wanted to talk to you so bad but you always so distracted I never had the chance.” He has a small pout on his lips before he shakes his head and smiles again “But now you’re here with me! We can finally be together!” His chest heaves and he trembles slightly barely containing his excitement. His palms slide down from your shoulders to your arms, rubbing them up and down slowly before they move to your waist. The slowly sneak around you and you choke on a sob when he pulls you in for a hug “Please- please just let me-“ He lifts his hand up to gently pet your hair as if soothing you “Shh shh don’t cry darling. We’ll be so happy together. I’ll make you so happy.” His hand shuffles around in his pocket and before you realize what’s going on it’s already too late and you feel the cold sting of a needle on the nape of your neck and everything becomes a blurry mess of colors “Just like you made me happy.”

She is a sock puppet and the second of two puppets in Otto Goodwill's Puppet Theatre to completely gain a conscious and will of their own.

And with that will she has ambitions of being famous and loved, despite her attitude and vices....

fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

Oh, this is such a delicious question because Holland's relationship with fear is so quintessentially Holland—which is to say, it's complicated and she'd really rather not talk about it, thanks. Her greatest fear is being powerless, and it’s aided and abetted by her more tangential fears of abandonment and inadequacy. Having no control over what happens to her or the people she cares about. This manifests as a desperate need to maintain agency in every situation, even when it's dangerous or self-destructive. She'd rather make a bad choice than have no choice at all. Holland has spent most of her life having things happen to her rather than having agency over her circumstances. Her father's death, her mother's emotional abandonment, Bobby's manipulation, and now the supernatural world dragging her into increasingly dangerous situations where her human limitations are glaringly obvious. She's constantly reminded that she's the weak link, the liability, the one who needs protecting. And with all the supernatural chaos in Wayhaven lately, she's constantly facing threats she can't physically fight, situations where her usual tools (wit, charm, intellect) feel inadequate, and a boyfriend who could literally live forever while she... can't. Every dangerous encounter, every moment she's outmatched, only reinforces that terrifying sense of powerlessness; she's terrified of becoming someone who needs rescuing. When confronted with it? Holland does what Holland does best: she turns into a spinning top of deflection. Crack a joke. Flash that charming smile. Intellectualize until her therapist would weep. Anything but actually feel it. She'll focus on what she can control—usually by throwing herself into work or quite literally running until her body hurts too much to think. When she can’t totally deflect, she becomes her most reckless and impulsive self. She'll throw herself into danger, make unilateral decisions, or push boundaries specifically because it gives her the illusion of control. Going to the auction alone? Classic Holland—better to risk everything on her own terms than feel helpless waiting for others to act. And she absolutely hides it. She's crafted this whole persona of this plucky, irreverent person who's totally fine, actually, thanks for asking. She's the one making dark jokes about her trauma, the one who responds to "are you okay?" with a sarcastic quip and a subject change so smooth you don't even realize she's done it until later, because admitting powerlessness feels like... well, giving up what little power she has.

guilt: What is your OC guilty about? How do they handle their guilt? Do they try to avoid guilt, or do they accept it?

Holland lowkey carries guilt about everything, but most of it centers on constantly feeling like a liability—a constant, breathing reminder that everyone around her would be safer, more effective, less burdened if she simply weren't there. (So, naturally, Holland absolutely cannot accept this guilt in any healthy way; accepting it would mean acknowledging that she might genuinely be a burden, and she has a hard time with the idea that sometimes people are burdens to each other and that’s not an inherent flaw or something she’s supposed to be able to overcome 🥲) She's constantly guilty about being the "weak link": every time Nate steps between her and danger, every mission where strategies have to be adjusted around her human limitations, every training session where her lack of supernatural speed or strength becomes glaringly obvious. She watches Adam's barely concealed frustration when plans get complicated by her mortality, sees the careful way they all position themselves around her in dangerous situations, and the guilt eats at her. She internalizes it completely, turning it into fuel for her relentless need to prove herself. She throws herself into increasingly dangerous situations, not because she's brave, but because she's desperate to demonstrate that she's worth the trouble. Every reckless choice is an attempt to balance the scales—if she can just be useful enough, save enough people, solve enough cases, maybe she can justify the resources spent keeping her alive. She also handles guilt by trying to minimize her own needs. She won't ask for help, won't admit when she's hurt or scared, won't burden them with her very human anxieties about mortality and inadequacy.

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Sleep and Holland have what could generously be described as a complicated relationship. Most nights, it feels more like they're actively divorced, battling over custody of her sanity. The nightmares are the obvious culprit—Murphy's face materializing in the dark corners of her bedroom, phantom sensations of needles and clinical lighting making her skin crawl even when she's wide awake. Sometimes it's his voice, adopting that unsettlingly conversational tone as he discussed her blood as if evaluating a particularly interesting vintage of wine. Trauma has an annoyingly mundane way of asserting itself—not with dramatic orchestral swells, but with the quiet certainty that closing her eyes is essentially sending an engraved invitation to every monster that's ever touched her. But the nightmares might be easier than the anxiety spirals that kick in around 2am, when her brain decides it's the perfect moment to catalog every possible catastrophic outcome of her supernatural life. What if Nate realizes loving someone whose blood makes vampires lose control isn't romantic, but a liability? Or the unsettling 3am thoughts about following too closely in her father's footsteps and becoming another human casualty filed neatly away by the Agency. When sleep becomes a negotiation she's clearly losing, she mostly reads. It's not likely to be unduly risky (even Holland draws the line at going for a run at zero dark thirty, especially these days) or disruptively loud, like playing guitar would be. Books have always been her go-to for keeping her mind occupied, and they've always been a close friend through her sleepless nights.

Jingles, The Gluttonous Mouse!

Don’t be fooled by their smaller frame and smiling grin, this mouse is actual chaos in a costume.

Reliable? Sure, until a prank opportunity walks by. Then everything goes to shit. Jingles will drop whatever mission they were totally committed to in favor of committing their shenanigans and over the top pranks.

Although, they are quite invested in their pranks, food is actually their obsession.

And when Jingles gets hungry (which is always), things get… weird. Their stomach opens into a gaping mouth full of teeth, like hunger itself is trying to crawl out. It’s unsettling... and kind of impressive.

Despite the cursed hunger pit and prank addiction, Jingles is actually quite the charmer. Quick with their words, smooth with a bow, and dramatic as hell. They're the group’s distraction, the performer, the star of the show; while the rest of the gang gets down to business in the background. They make chaos look good.
