DC hamfisting a royd.onna revival before giving him a storyline about reconnecting with Lian (not the same thing as reuniting) is gonna be my fucking villain origin story.

They were decent/okay/good#but DC fucked them over so badly I never want to see it again bcs yeah that was fucked.#I love Donna! I love Roy! but esp after she came back and said to his face that she only started dating him again to feel normal#but that it was only temporary and she didn't love him like that this time??? FUCKED. (and no I don't think it was out of character#I think it was an interesting conflict between Donnas reliance on the others around her and Roys inability to not give everything to people#((This is not to say she's overly reliant on the others around her in general but that she relies on other in a crisis which is NOT a#condemnation. but there's something to be said abt Donna's need for a status quo to stay grounded in uncertainty. She did the same thing#in a way when Jason was briefly working with the Teen Titans and he called her out on it. Bcs she was relying on him to be Dick but#Jason isn't and wasn't Dick. It's good that she has people to rely on and trusts them when she needs them! I think it's one of those#Character strengths (having support/being open to trust & rely on others) that can become a flaw (over-reliance on that as the status quo)#But that doesn't mean I don't think that that would sour the idea of her and Roy in a relationship any less.))#(((Is that incident currently canon? IDK but it's never left me.)))
