On the way home from the hospital, Alistair.. Couldn't seem to tear his phone away from his sights! Unable to look around himself as he contoniued to travel campus. It didn't even seem like he knew particularly where he was going to be headed, as he didn't seem to notice his own dorm to his left, as he wandered around. He laid himself beack on a patchy field of clipped grass, the dank feeling slightly comforting him. He saw a corpse again. Something that wasn't really that new to him. A concept of death, that couldn't bother him anymore. And boy, was that.. Just in slightest, just eerie. He couldn't bear to be the odd one out again. Not again, and.. He'd had to stop it from progressing, he diecided. As it seemed that ███ had really rubbed off of him, the urge to investigate such a happening more stronger than ever. He'd already assume that the hospital seemed more like a joke than a working stop for patients. Along with the strangely cold students, even rivaling Alistair's own numbness to the sight of a corpse. Viscera, still burned onto his mind, he began to aimlessly text whoever was close to him. In this case, ███ and ██████. Popping their contacts onto his screen. So late at night -- it'd be strange to see this guy on his own, wouldn't it be? For some reason, that.. Smile, didn't seem to leave his face. Now in a softer alternative, however. Not as bright as he hoped to be.

Parasite
The Kims, consisting of mother and father Chung-sook and Ki-taek, as well as their young adult children Ki-woo and Ki-jung, are a poor family living in a filthy and cramped half-basement apartment in Seoul's crowded lower working-class business sector. They, particularly Mr. and Mrs. Kim, are practically smelling of poverty without even realizing it. They frequently commit little frauds as a group to get by, and even when they do have employment, they just perform the bare minimum. Ki-woo is the one who wishes to escape poverty by attending university one day. Despite his lack of a university degree, Ki-woo is picked by his university student buddy Min, who is departing to attend school, to take over his tutoring position from Park Da-hye, whom Min intends to date after he returns to Seoul and she is enrolled in university. The Parks are an affluent family who have resided in their modernistic mansion, created by and formerly owned by renowned architect Namgoong, for the past four years. Mrs. Park has a flighty, simpleminded attitude and disposition, which Min encourages Ki-woo to feel safe lying to her about his schooling to win the job. Ki-woo hears that Mrs. Park is seeking for an art therapist for the Parks' teenaged son, Da-song, and recommends his professional art therapist buddy "Jessica," who is actually Ki-jung, who he knows can carry off the fraud as the easiest liar of the four Kims. As a result of Ki-falling woo's in love with Da-hye, he begins to see himself in that house, and the Kims as a group devise a plan for all of the Kims, including Ki-jung, to replace current servants in the Parks' payroll by fabricating reasons for them to be dismissed.
The theme is Parasite is classism, The Kims literally live under the parks. Everyday when we see them leave their house we watch them go down, and down, and down until they finally get home to their level of living. Early on working for the Parks their son Da-song notices a smell coming from the family. They have a smell that they can't get rid of no matter what they do it always stays with them. This becomes a major issue for father Ki-taek as Mr. Park is not fond of it as he cares a lot about class and compares it to the smell of people on the bus. They try to do everything they can but they can never get rid of the smell which leads to their demise.
The key question the film is trying to get across is the title parasite and the question is who is the parasite. I think the parasite is the former housekeeper and her husband Moon-gwang and Geun-se. I think they are parasites because they are literally living in their house hidden trying to hide from the loan sharks. Some people might see the Kims as the parasite but they did nothing wrong in my opinion they just wanted jobs from the Parks and worked hard. Without them causing chaos and havoc I think the Kims could have worked for them forever eventually making enough money to move up a class and getting rid of their smell. Moon-gwang left her husband when she got fired in the basements for weeks without visiting or telling him what happened. Living in the basement for over 2 years caused him to go crazy and dedicate his whole life to Mr. Park as he is the sole reason he is alive.
On Da-song's birthday is when everything goes down, Geun-se breaks out of the basement and hits Ki-woo on the head with his rock that he carries around, almost killing him. He then runs out into the backyard where the party is being held running at Chung-sook but Ki-jung steps in front stabbing her and untimitally killing her. Mr Park then notices the smell he always notices and goes to cover his nose which really upsets Ki-taek, causing him to stab Mr. Park after all the build up anger he has from Mr. Park contonius disrespecting his smell. It is very ironic how after Mr Kim stabs Mr Park he then goes and hides in the basement almost switching roles with Geun-se as now he needs to hide from the police.
The key symbol is the rock that Ki-woo carries around with him. Min-hyuk tells Ki-woo that the rock is meant to bring the Kim family good luck and great wealth. Min-hyuk sells this as a chance for the Kim family to break out of its haggard everyday, to finally achieve lift off and get a taste of that Park way of living. Ki-woo starts carrying the rock with him everywhere he goes in the hopes of bringing luck but it actually brings the opposite as the rock literally almost killed him.
Parasite is my favourite movie I have ever seen not in english. It was very interesting to me watching a movie not in english and reading the subtitles. I found this movie amazing and very easy to understand and follow. I really enjoyed the meaning behind everything and felt that this movie was very powerful. I give Parasite 4.5/5 stars.
