Something I wont officially decide is fucked up until season 2 drops and we see more of the guys but Ive kind of started to get actually bothered by the way James Gunn made Peacemaker and Adrian Chase, two dudes whos worldview is very much influenced by them both growing up wealthy, like ambiguously middle class at best

#Bothers me more with Adrian then with Peacemaker because I still think peacemaker's dad was a rich guy #cosplaying being poor but in Adrian's case I think hes actually not a rich boy at all anymore #which is weirder for him because he is very much a rich white republican man in the comics.#Like its not something thats really explicitly addressed but its kind of big and with everything else Gunn included #its weird that wouldnt be. Like we're remembering that Peacemaker's racist but not that Adrian Chase is a privleged rich boy whos 'tough-#-on crime'? again maybe itll be revealed he is somehow still a rich boy in season 2 though. I dont know.#still would be weird it wasnt just obvious from the start #And I still think it was a bad choice to like southern red-neck code Peacemaker's dad #even if Im right and he wasnt Actually like that and was just playing into it because hes a nazi freak
