Spoiler warning for Portal 2.

I finally got around to finishing the game and...

Honestly, I feel more like varying degrees of ‘oh noo’ and ‘)`:’ than ‘yeah, I accomplished the ending, awesome.’ These feelings may be because, well, one, I had to blow Wheatley off into space. He might’ve been trying to kill me, but I still liked him, and really felt the personality shift had more to do with the new power position corrupting him. Two, GLaDOS. She may have said she deleted Caroline, but come on. She saves your life, lets you go, sends you up the elevator with the little turrets singing a song for you on your way, and, when you make it out, she sends you your companion cube. Does that not seem like she cares about you? And then there’s her song and the lines ‘Maybe if I delete you’ followed by [redacted] with her singing ‘I’ll stop feeling so bad’, and the ‘Goodbye, my only friend’ thing?

At the end of Portal 1, I had been a bit sad too, mostly because of the curiosity core I had destroyed who really didn’t deserve it, and GLaDOS’s song had made me feel a bit sorry, but it was mixed with ‘pfft, whatever GLaDOS you tried to kill me after promising cake, you got what was coming to you’. And now... I just want to go back, hang out with GLaDOS, bring Wheatley back, and just... I dunno.
