how do people do these reading marathon & challenges thingies this is torture
#well not /torture/ but it is exhausting?#i self imposed this challenge where i would read as many romance books as i could for ten days (starting last friday)#because i got the suden urge to read and collect a bunch of romance books but franky i just#don't read romance in general (or not ver often) so i was like well it's now or never#and i'm tireeeeed. i feel like i already know every trope lol#and like the books are fun but not precisely life-changing#but the thing is i don't really have anything else to do so guess i'll just keep reading even though my head feels heavy lol#i don't think i'm ever doing a reading challenge like this in my life again good lord it not so low-key sucks the fun i'm a slow reader!!#and a very slow one at that!! @ myself it's ok darling! just go your own pace!!#i've had a general goal of finishing one book each month for a couple years and that's more than enough as it is ah#me thinking of alan moore saying his advice for writers is to read bad books: not me sir. not me#blabla#laura reads
