Today's Prompt is Power. It was hard to think about what to draw. I've decided to go with the AU, Elements of Chroma. I've done a couple of sketches of some of the chroma warriors, bug appearance in their transformed states, off-screen.

As a few of you know, The Elemental Nonagon, aka the Elements of Chroma is the source of the warrior's powers.

Out of all the nine members, I choose Synapse, Alex, and Draffsack for my drawing.

The differences in this picture, Synapse's scarf is blue to adapt his chroma form, Alex's Chroma form remains the same except the lower body is a gradient with the pink and purple and Draffsack is exactly like his bug form, however, I added the details from his chroma form including long antennas, a bulky body and ripped shoulder pads.

STORY TIME!

-Max puts on the headset using Synapse's Memory Projector. The machine turns on and Max appears in the Krud Throne Room as a hologram. He looks around and sees the audience and Draffsack waiting nervously. Kopius bangs his staff and announces Queen Katheter's arrival to the throne room-

Kopius: Quivering subjects, be upstanding on this auspicious day, as I give you the woman you love to hate: Queen Katheter!

Hologram Max: Mum!

-Max runs towards his mother and looks at her but she does not notice him.-

Hologram Max: Sorry I was late for your birthday. There was a field of Flowers and I was willing to give you some.

-Katheter still did not notice him. This is because he is using the Memory Projector and as a hologram, he can only view the events that are happening. This means they can't hear him, can't see him, and cannot feel him.-

Draffsack: Your Majesty... May the sun's rays never penetrate the darkness of your soul. May fresh air never alleviate the stench of your being. and may the- Queen Katheter: Where's my son?

Hologram Max: I'm right here, why can't anyone see me?

-Then a shine of Indigo is seen on the left, Hologram Synapse is formed-

Hologram Synapse: You're in the past.

Hologram Max: But I am.

Hologram Synapse: If you've used a time machine and interacted with everyone, they would notice you and it's very risky to interfere with the past. While using the Memory Projector, your body manifests into the form of a hologram, none of them will see us but we'll see them.

Hologram Max: So I just have to watch how it played out.

Hologram Synapse: Yes. It's just like watching a movie and I get the chance to take part in the ceremony.

-Synapse takes out of a popcorn out of thin air and munches on them-

Hologram Max: You didn't take part, guess that explains it. What were you doing during that time?

Hologram Synapse: Been busy working on Frogbucket.

-Then the past Max approaches the throne room.-

Kopius: Majesty, honored kruds; His tardiness, Prince Maximillian! -bangs his staff-

Hologram Max: There's me!

Hologram Synapse: Still the cheery krud, I've seen.

Hologram Max: But I know what happens next.

Max: Flowers just for you! Happy Birthday, Mum!

Queen Katheter: FLOWERS?!

-Draffsack snatches the flowers and throws them on the ground.-

Draffsack: FLOWERS? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!

Max and Hologram Max: What have I done?

Queen Katheter: You let me down again. You always let me down. DON'T EVEN SOUND LIKE ME!

-Draffsack stomps on the flowers. Hologram Max tries to stop him but is grabbed by Hologram Synapse.-

Draffsack: Why couldn't he give us soap on a rope like any normal son?!

Hologram Max: At the time, they didn't understand what the Verigreens were doing was good. All the Kruds care about is destroying their territory, taking their flowers and burning them as fuel.

Hologram Synapse: We were there before them and the prism changed everything and went against the veries. It would go on until Magus showed us the future and what we saw was tragedy for us and them. Thanks to him, we're now in alliance.

Hologram Max: Right! If there are any other tribes out there in Planet Krud, we'll be there to encounter them! If we do find a way home that is.

-Then they see something glowing behind them. They turn and see Max crouching, looking at the flowers as they grow. Hologram Max comes to him and crouches and watches as well.-

Max: That's amazing! That's incredible! That's beautiful!

Hologram Max: Just as I thought it would be.

Insektober day 3: Backstory!

A young Krabo (not quite a Lord then) pays a visit to Doctor Aedes' laboratory, though he's actually only here to see her assistant, Synapse. He is here for a weekly dose of T, which Synapse gives him since Aedes' vision isn't what it used to be.

Aedes is a tiger mosquito! She was ancient, having been lead scientist for several decades. She trained Synapse and Magus in their youth, and was only succeeded by another lead scientist (Magus) after she passed away. She was friendly and humorous, but often times a little too playful and liked to mess with the other Kruds. She was very meticulous about her work, but a lot of her patients feared she was a quack. If she were still alive she'd tell you it was all nonsense!

Krabo headcanon/overanalysis under the cut???

Regarding Krabo, he has a funky relationship with gender to say the least. Krud society is not outright hostile towards transgender Kruds, nor is there anything explicitly stated in Krud dogma that would cause your average Krud to be dismissive of transgenderism, but Krabo still feels the need to hide this facet of himself in front of his peers, other than Synapse and the doctors. I think whether or not Krabo wants to admit it, Krud society does often punish those who stray from conformity, and he's afraid because to transition would be "non-conformist" of him. He often goes through old documents about himself and forges them to reflect his current self, to keep commoners from finding out his "secret". Synapse and Kurkulie have reminded him time and again that it's not as big a deal as he makes it out to be, but I think Krabo won't feel truly comfortable until he resolves his inner turmoil and self hatred. He's... kind of a mess?

Anyways this isn't like canon to the show or anything its just smth I thought of cuz I couldnt figure out what type of cockroach he was when I watched the show LOL. I thought he could be a dubia cockroach since they don't fly or climb and they're very round. Thing with that is, the males still have prominent wings n the females only have wing stubs. Krabo had stubby wings in Insektors: The Making Of, so that gave me the idea that he might've removed them on purpose!

If you recall my Trans Day of Visibility drawings featuring Insektors characters and OCs, you might remember I drew Krabo on there but I didn't color him in! That's because, unlike Kaboche, he's stealth. He's generally pretty uncomfortable with others knowing he's trans. There is actually 1 other trans insektors character I haven't gone in depth with yet, but... thats for a similar yet different reason. It's difficult! I want to reveal who it is but their identity is so tied to a story arc in my rewrite that I think it'd be a huge spoiler! Wtf do I do there... write the damn rewrite I guess LOL.

Insektober Day 31 - Spooky

Happy Halloween! It's time for a spooky drawing. Greeb is running from the kruds after they've been turned into fungus zombies.

After that, Insektober has come to a close. I want to thank those who took part during this month. Next year is a big one because it will be the show's 30th anniversary, YAY!

This may be the easiest prompt, thus far as it's about drawing characters from Insektors with another franchise. I might draw an extra today, not only do I want to do Rainbow Friends but Splatoon is well since shooting colour is how the Verigreen does for their weapons.

Chromaverse Daily Art Challenge - Day 31: Victory

After a fight against the monsters from the Chroma Dimension, the Chroma Warriors celebrate their win, for now, that is. Who knows what scheme Doggora's rebellion has in store for them.

I'll draw the full group pic at a later date, The weather is hot today.

Soon, the Chromaverse AU will begin its story in Wattpad and DeviantART. All role-plays that I've done on Discord will be converted and rewritten.

Chromaverse Daily Art Challenge - Day 17: Adventure.

Here we are, our first look at the Chroma Dimension. The Chroma Dimension is a pocket dimension with colourful biomes created by Noirai and Doggora and it is the home of the Nonagon: The dimension's source and where The main Chroma Elements reside.

If The Chroma Warriors step foot in this dimension, they'll look forward to some exploring.

Chromaverse Daily Art Challenge - Day 14: Fashion (Cosplay)

First look of Max’s Clothing Designer, a device made by Synapse that allows anyone to make dress with a click of button. Max uses it to make outfits for his friends and special occasions such as the fashion show from my rps on Discord.

Max was busy making costumes for this years Halloween and I want try some of them with Flynn, Alex and Draffsack.

Flynn and Alex are dressed as Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle and Draffsack is dress as Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus.

Chromaverse Daily Challenge - Day 7: City

Sometimes when there's big monsters lurking around in Neon City, The Chroma Warriors have to trust Draffsack with his Chroma of Giant abilities. While it takes longer with other warriors to take down a giant chroma monster, as a Chroma Giant, its strength matches giant Chroma monsters and it brings on a real match.

After spending the night camping, The Warriors went home shopping but could not afford any of them since they were broke. Luckily, they find a free house but it is abandoned and roughed up, however using their powers they fix it up and make it as good as new. Claiming it as their new home and headquarters.

I almost included the whole team in this picture but didn't in the end though I could have included Fugg, Wasabi, Drumsturdy and Greeb in front of the rest of their team. Regret incoming.

Insektober Day 4 - Technology

Synapse invented Sparkie to improved security, Draffsack however isn’t having a good time with this change.
