I like the idea of Durge retaining/regaining some of his memories, but they're all of Gortash. And not any that could considerably help him piece together what his life was like before, but only snippets of personal non-work related moments between them. So he's left with the longing for a lover which seems so at odds with all the fucked up shit he constantly learns about himself throughout the game.
