#mercenary itto running into disguised prince echo at the tavern#echo knows nothing about itto's reputation but itto immediately recognizes echo as the prince#they talk for a while and echo learns that itto is some kind of hero and laments that they may never meet again#a few days later itto shows up at the castle and echo is like ''who are you'' (but not really he's just pretending)#and itto's like you know me! we met at the tavern.#and echo is like fuck wait how did you know it was me#and itto explains that echo has a bounty over his head but itto's not gonna hurt him for just money#and then they stay up all night and talk about life and echo pours his heart out about how much he hates life in the castle#and itto just before dawn has to leave and is like i'll be back soon lemme know if you want me to bust you outta here#and then echo spends the next few days tossing it around in his mind and finally deciding yknow what fuck it im running away#OH and itto is still known as an oni and everything echo just doesnt care because he thinks racism is stupid (as one should)#beetle boy
