rodeo- crazy but the friday night lights and the crowd and the smell and the vendors. the most beautiful kind of chaos imaginable.

I’ve been working on this idea for like 2 days now so bear with me….Guitar playing Steve

Now it's a little sad, but roll with me here,

So he doesn't play like Eddie, no no, this is my little Americana sweetheart, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp(i think), Other Johns I don't remember rn...

anyway, his grandpa taught him because I entirely believe he had a really strong relationship with his grandparents and they defo hated his parents. Like a lil lake house he’d go to in the summer as a kid and just sitting on the porch with his grandpa while the sun went down 🥺

and when he died Steve inherited his guitar, a real nice acoustic, like the ones with the mother of pearl up the neck, the whole thing.

and he loved it, he learned all his favorite songs, made up different patterns that he just thought sounded nice. He’s good at it.

But then! one sad sad day, his dad needs to punish him for whatever reason, definitely something dumb, and he hides it somewhere like the basement or wherever and finally Steve’s just waiting for the end of his groundedness but it’s lost. Like just gone.

then he gets older and gets a nice bonus from FV and decides to splurge on a new one and it’s the best decision he’s ever made

(I may or may not have been inspired by His hands…..his fingers are just long and his hands are big ok? Perfect for guitar playing ya know?)

I'm going to cry this is so sweet.

he definitely listens to old country artists like Marty Robins and Johnny Cash and Hank Williams and Willie Nelson.

imagine he resurrects that old guitar and he just sits there with it. just sits there, memories flashing through his head.

He just strums it, eyes flickering with tears, heart heavy.

you remind me of the feeling i got today when a british shop owner called me love.

the best feeling. i didn't even know him but he did not hesitate to say "Welcome in, love. What're you looking for?" the feeling of total and utter weightlessness. the feeling of all the tension leaving your body. THE BEST FEEING.

I was worried like what if we aren’t moots enough but then I remembered I wrote you a whole love letter so I felt better

you remind me of homemade pizza and holiday card games

pizza- there's something indescribably special about making homemade anything but pizza is one of the few delicacies I can have three meals a day, seven days a week and still want more.

card games- holiday card games are the ones you play with your family, or even if you just watch from afar, itś hat feeling of connectedness (especially if your family from out of state/ out of country come over for a holiday)
