Global Change, Humanities Epitaph.
My take on Global Warming for what it's worth.
When it comes down to our planet we live on,..... from what I have researched I know the earth has routinely gone through phases of reconditioning every 100 thousand years or so to get rid of the gunk that accumulates over time from natural events like volcanos, forest fires and other things that cause natural carbon dioxide buildup, and reconditioning cleans all that crap out and renews the earth, because our Earth is a living thing, just like any other plant, and once it is threatened with an invasive happenstance it's gonna protect itself just like any other plant does, and like we Human beings do biologically with natural invasive things anyway, not so sure about the man made things we make to kill ourselves off, and those things are our own damn fault most times, and because of the greed of gain.
Anyway the invasive things the earth is protecting itself against are us Human Beings Polluting and poisoning it, and I have found MUCH evidence that supports the idea that human impact on the environment was widespread even before the Industrial Revolution event that started in the 1600's!
Yeah, We humans have known for thousands of years the effects of our polluting efforts from the first wood fires in ancient homes, the effects of which we have found in the blackened lungs of mummified tissue from Egypt, Peru and Great Britain. And the Romans earn the dubious credit of being perhaps the first to spew metallic pollutants into the air, to the point of Roman courts civil claims over smoke pollution 2,000 years ago, the Roman empire even initiated a very early version of the Clean Air Act. In 535 BC!
And the United States credits itself for the first Clean Air Act in history?
Guess they didn't read Roman History.........
Then I found smelting in the ancient world documents to create lead and copper fouling medieval air and actually killing smelters because they didn't wear any mask for breathing protection, they just kept breathing in the fumes until they passed out dead, then someone yelled for another smelter to take their place, Lol.
By 1200, London had been deforested from everyone burning the wood and a switch began to "sea-coal," of all things we could find to burn, coal that washed up on beaches was the next best thing to cook with and stay warm with. As early as the 1280s, there were complaints about smoke from burning coal for thousands of miles around. Attempts to ban burning the sea-coal went on 250 years without fruition .......... and because of profits gained,.... so humanity gave Greed a pass once again.
By the 1600's Industrial Revolution when Man started refining ancient biological matter we called Fossils fuels and burning it to power mans newly invented machines to push humanity forward we were already inundated with much man-made pollution, and we knew it, but profits that were known in ancient times as 'spectacular' were now realized as ten fold above that amount,.... and there was no stopping man made polluting machines in the name of progress, and science was forced to look the other way in the face of governmental mandates to push nations forward to dominate to globe in their own image!
This added pollution from mans fossils fuels burning for machines was "the straw that broke the camel's back", so-to-say. With the natural pollution the earth was already experiencing and that added buildup from man slowly raised the earths thermostat to trigger Global Change (again), and reconditioning of the earth to get rid of the buildup pollution, this is what we are witnessing today, that change taking place.
One might note I stated "AGAIN" above, as this isn't the first time our earth has gone through global change, as it's a regular process of our earth to renew itself to sustain life,.... ya see our Earth has experienced cold periods (or βice agesβ) and warm periods (βinterglacialsβ) on roughly 100,000-year cycles for at least the last 1 million years to renew itself, and that's only because we can't accurately measure things older than 1 million years old, so it could have been going on since the Big Bang or creation.
We'd observed it happening slowly over a couple of thousand years knowing what and why it was happening, but not enough people did anything to change our greed, and most human beings liked the extra income from literally burning the earths resources ignoring and even trash talking anti-pollution proponents acting like they were some sort of evil-doer trying to take food from the mouths of peoples children.
Well like Trump was trying to do to keep the polluters active by suggesting everything is a Hoax. And now we now it isn't, and Trump was just an asshole.
So global change is coming sooner then it would have because not enough human beings wanted to step up or be the first one, and we all waited for the other people to join in so we alone wouldn't look like an environmental fool, ......... and we waited, and waited, and we waited for something to be done to save our dying planet ............ and here we are today still waiting with minuscule being done to combat global warming.
Because we really don't have the technology to move to another planet or build a 3 billion+ capacity space Ark colony to orbit the earth and wait out the storm.
So really our only other option is for 'Artificial Intelligence (AI)' to look at the problem and suggest measures we didn't think of or couldn't think of, or didn't want to think of because of profit,... and for whatever excuses or reasons being, we haven't done anything major as of yet, only small insignificant measures that ain't gonna save a hand full of people.
They say Artificial Intelligence can think 1000 times faster than any human being, and do it 24-7 without a break for years if need be,.... and can look at a million angles of the EXISTENCE of a problem,... can foresee Millions of SIGNIFICANT angles of the problem, and then come up with a million different SOLVABILITY scenarios to solve the problem.
So ANYONE even remotely in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) business I implore you to be diligent in your efforts to push the human race forward, because really YOUR our last ditch effort to save our greedy asses!
If it don't work out humanitarianly we can always go back to what we were good at,..... just burning everything to stay warm during global cooling.........
