The Time I Had

You know, I've never really been to a gala... at least, not one I was supposed to be at. I thought I knew what I was walking into, but let me tell you: I didn't. A lot of weird things happened there - as far as I heard, it didn't seem so bad at first. Normal gala stuff - someone lost his shoe in the crowd, someone else just couldn't remember the names she was hearing.

But then it started to get weirder. There was a woman who bolted when she thought she even glimpsed an Altmer, and a man cackling as he told the other guests about their 'fates'. There was a Nord woman covered in filth, and they really just let her in like that - shit, another woman's gown started rotting off her body. The stench was vile, I'm telling you - I couldn't even get close enough to find out who it was!

And then I found out Sheogorath was there. Like, Daedric madness Sheogorath, the real deal. Ha, no wonder the place was a mess! You'd think that'd be against the Compact or something, but it doesn't seem he's much for playing by the rules. If someone really did summon him up, well, I hope they were expecting this. The way I see it, he was probably looking out for those troublemakers, making sure they didn't get kicked out early.

Including myself, of course. You think I played by their rules either? Of course I didn't, I was barely even dressed for the occasion! At this point, I'm not even sure my invitation was real - that'd explain a lot, if you ask me. Of course I filled my pockets - anywhere you find riches, you find rogues. Even found myself a handsome Orc 'companion'... oh yeah, he was a good one alright - I might actually miss the guy. I'd tell you more, my dearest me, but there are some things you just can't put to paper.

Well, I think that's it for now. It was a weird time, but a good one - I'd do it again, minus the rot woman. Hope you're doing well, yourself.

was this event ever fun ! kossai work on ideas since first announcement , and so happy to finally share everything , even if there was some hitch along way with concept changes and lack of focus . :D

obviously , can not speak for anyone else's contributions and storylines - this is exclusive to kossai characters - but toy with ideas like this ever since start . in one version of this end , would reveal sheogorath play with paper dolls this whole time , but that one seem too sad . in another version , this entire event was mass hallucination , but then that would be pretty sad for safya and ellona especially , and these ladies do not need more heartbreak .

so why not ... hijack ? this event was real , sheogorath just take advantage of chaos to send out some temporally nonsensical invitations . maybe , even , that first day failure was intentional ? or maybe not , sheogorath is still sheogorath after all . realistically gala event is not canonical to these character timelines anyway , just think would be fun to try and explain this strange clash of timelines - dhajan and safya would be long dead by lydia and ellona's time , after all , to say nothing of fa'zel's situation ...
