you are free to send more than one request, but i want to give as many different people as possible the chance to request something. prompts will be marked as "taken" or "reserved".

taken is non negotiable & means it's fully locked in, while reserved means someone, who has already requested another prompt, has requested a second or third time and i will still give new people a chance to take that prompt instead, before locking it in a few days later.

once all spots are taken, i'll start posting the oneshots at the beginning of the next month. it'll either be may or june, depending on how quickly things fill up!

if you have any questions, please ask me under this post, as others might have the same question & it'll help clear things up for everybody! :)

ps: i do wanna give credit to @randoimago because they did a similar event (trope-tober) last year, that i really enjoyed! <3 i didn't look up their event again, but i do assume that at least some classic tropes like "secret relationship" can be found in both of our events! anyways, shoutout to them! :D

Im curious how is the writing process going for you with so many requests. I hope it’s not too much. Please remember that we will all be very understanding and won’t hold a grudge if you decide you need to take a break or slow down. As to my questions (that are in no way meant to be rushing you, I’m just interested in your experiences with the event so far). Have you started? Any fics you’re especially excited to write or ones you’re stressed about? And if you started how are the fics so far, are they nice to write or do you wish you got different characters for different tropes?

oh gosh, i could say so much about the writing process of this event--

i have already started and finished half of the oneshots already! 1 - 15 are done (excluding 10), plus a couple later ones that i did in random order!

i set myself the (probably unrealistic) goal to finish everything before april ends. and it's kinda making me burned out, but also... i just know i'll feel even worse if i don't write, so i'll just write and then edit it later :')

i have some fics i had ideas for from the start (like the prompt 'trapped together' or 'assassin x target') so those are relatively easy to write!

other tropes are harder because i just put them on the list without thinking? 'match making' or 'promise' were such tropes. match making specifically has the added pressure of releasing on my birthday so i wanna put out an awesome oneshot on that day, but can't fully think of something yet :')

and then there are oneshots that would be so much better as headcanons. 'body swap' & 'boss x assistant' would work very well as headcanons and get the point across easier, but i think they still turned out okay!

my favorite fic so far was 'time loop' with shinjiro. that was the first one i wrote when i was super motivated & it's also the longest oneshot i wrote so far. i have a couple more that i like, but i think i'll keep it short haha

there are some tropes where certain characters would've probably worked better than the ones i got, but none where it's too hard to make it work. i think only 'revenge' with kiyotaka from DR & 'royalty' for ryuku from MHA are a bit hard. kiyotaka is too nice for revenge, so the reader has to be the asshole here. and ryuku isn't a character that is royalty in any form, but again, i can make the reader royalty here. so no trope & character combo is too much of a hassel :)

also, i started writing some headcanons at the side, so i won't fully get burned out from just writing oneshots. i def learned that for future events, i'll have to do something shorter than a month or give myself more time. but i think 1-2 week long events might be something i'll try next! probably with themes like 'yandere week' or 'jealousy week' or something like that!

not gonna lie, the event is a bit stressful! i didn't expect to hit 2K so soon & despite still having time, i kinda set myself the goal of finishing all 30 oneshots by the end of this month, like... good luck to me h-haha... :')

but it's been pretty fun! one of the oneshots i did is by far the thing i've written that i'm most proudest of (trope 28 👉🏻👈🏻) and the others have been really fun too so far! i think towards the end, i might struggle a bit more, since i don't have ideas for everything yet, but still have the freedom to pick which prompt i wanna work on for now.

i've finished the first 8 oneshots in order, plus like 3-4 others! the next one is the nier one you've requested, so i'll be finishing that one tomorrow (i had to write a oneshot for 9S since it's literally prompt 9 and it felt like it needed to be him haha--)

i got some fun characters for all prompts and i think i'll manage to find a way to make everything fun! the one i'm most nervous is about so far is prompt 18, since that one will be posted on my birthday & i kinda wanna do something special that i can be proud of... but i can't think of anything :')

but it's been really fun so far to plan so far ahead! i also have some other unrelated posts that i've worked in as a personal project instead of requests, that i'll be posting alongside those oneshots next month! and some of them have been sitting in my drafts for over a year now, so i'm happy i can FINALLY post them lmao--

okay, this was a really long rant but like-- this is really fun & i got so much to say! plus some fun stories that i'll have to add as author notes once the oneshots drop! :D

i've closed requests, since i'll be pretty busy with the oneshots for the 2K event. i'll try to have them all done by the end of april (so i can start posting during may), but that means i won't have any time for any other requests. i'll likely open requests again soon after the event ended! perhaps even with a few old fandoms & characters back on the fandom list!
