I think everyone knows I appreciate BMead and all but a 6 match tournament (with the most difficult matches being ones she didn’t do anything in) shouldn’t give her awards that take into account the whole season. I am not even talking about Alexia winning it all, there’s actually other players that deserve it too and I wouldn’t be mad about them winning. But BMead isn’t one of them.

Ok so I've watched barca fem for a while but was never on the social media part not till recently. I've seen people say Jenni and Alexia use to date. Was this just rumors or was there ever actually proof? No hate just genuinely curious

listen, alexia is not megan rapinoe, sam kerr, or pernille harder as to be so out and proud with her private life. but yes, to those who were around back then, it was a fairly open secret amongst futfem circles that she and jenni were together for about ~7 years, give or take a few months here and there.

jenni's 1994 tattoo on her wrist is for alexia and there are some other tattoos that are rumoured to be for each other. their dogs, nala and andy, may have been gifts to each other, too, but that's not super clear.

as for "proof" there are bits and pieces from social media collected over the years on tumblr. but we don't have tiktoks from that time period if that's what you are looking for. but if you've been following femeni for a while, i mean there's a reason that jenni high tailed it out of here to mexico, right?! and believe me, no one wants to relive the complete horror show that was december 2021. although i will say the miriam rodriguez speculation was the only good thing to come from that timeframe! 😂😂

why don't you like Alexia's girlfriend? By your sixth sense, without ever having met her? Are you also one of those who calls Alexia's girlfriend: rat, leech, animal tick, bad grass (like your admin friend of the tumblr page that you follow and posts that talks about futfem gossip, but only talks about A and A's private life enjoys fomenting hatred towards OR). However, it seems to me that Alexia's family, friends and teammates (Jana, Patri, Mapi) get along very well with OR. It seems to me that a lot of people on these social media don't like OR just because they want Alexia to get back together with Jenni and blame OR for the breakup between J and A

wow I didn't know I had to explain why I don't like someone. I don't know her just as those who venerate her just for being Alexia's girlfriend without knowing her. I have never insulted her, but I would like to remind you that Jenni was heavily insulted until the World Cup only because she was no longer with Alexia and that was the reason why she left Barcelona. She is part of Patri, Mapi and Leila's group, it's normal that they like her. Can I have a personal opinion without being judged or do I still need to ask permission in 2023?

Sueños Infantiles🧑‍🤝‍🧑. Memoria de Adultos ...

Me encuentro en el punto final de mi habitual "ronda" por las redes sociales, ideal para ponerme al día de las publicaciones del Futfem..., cuando de repente mis ojos 👀 vislumbran una que les resulta del todo "irresistible". Culto.futbol and jennihermoso.

En un vídeo de poco más de 2 minutos, JH con una franqueza y sencillez muy propias de ella, te acompaña en un viaje express por su vida. Desde que levantaba escasos palmos del suelo hasta convertirse en la jugadora que idolatro y con su pasión innata por el ⚽, como hilo conductor.

El viaje tiene final féliz porque muestra una JH🔟 que tiene toda la pinta de haber encontrado, en Méjico, la mejor versión de si misma. Aunque viene precedido por unas turbulencias que en ese mismo instante te dejan un sabor de 👄 agridulce. Han pasado miles de instantes ya, pero ese " mal gusto" sigue conmigo...

Inquieta, he pensado que tocaba hacer algo en lugar de seguir con " las manos cruzadas"🙅 y una " desagradable sensación"... Por ejemplo escribir estas palabras, aún asumiendo las limitaciones de mi incidencia y de que es más que posible que acabe siendo un gesto "simbólico" o poco más...

Como se suele decir "las cosas buenas primero". Así que empezaremos por los "postres" que son la parte "dulce" del vídeo culto.futbol... La que nos deleita 😋 con una JH que forma parte de una generación única y seguramente irrepetible que ha vivido el "antes" y el "después" del Futfem.

La que con un extremo sacrificio ha conseguido recibir mucho del ⚽ y ha dado a las niñas 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 de ahora, y a las que vendrán, la referente que ellas no tuvieron y les ha abierto las puertas a soñar con ser futbolista profesional...

La misma que ha devuelto la ilusión y la satisfacción por el ⚽, a miles y miles de personas decepcionadas y aburridas, por la deriva que había tomado el deporte rey, y que cada fin de semana más que relajarse se estresaban en la "montaña rusa"🎡 en que se había convertido la mayoría de su partidos...

Y la que he despertado maravillosas sensaciones, en infinidad de adultos🧑🧔 que no las habían sentido nunca...

O la que ha batido records de asistencia🏟️, ha captado el interés de la prensa y de patrocinadores.

Acabaremos con lo parte más " agria" del vídeo, la que nos conmueve con una JH que tiene una "espina clavada en el ❤️". La de sentirse tratada como " nadie " o peor 😓😖, aún siendo emblema de un grupo de jugadoras que lo ha dado, y lo da todo, ha cambiado y cambiará vidas...

Esa parte que nos causa un agrio resquemor... Que insiste en hacernos conscientes 🧠 de que ese egoísmo, tan característico de nuestra sociedad, lo tenemos que si o si aparcar porque en su caso de ninguna de las maneras les podemos fallar.

Quiero imaginar que podremos lograrlo👃. Bastantes indicios nos muestran que nuestra actitud es diferente...

Cada vez las movilizaciones para gozar del Futfem son más frecuentes, masivas y traspasan fronteras más grandes. Pero nuestra respuesta aún va más allá...

Estoy convencida de que si JH🔟 pudiera "colarse" en nuestras casas, fliparia con las emociones que el ⚽ femenino y ella misma nos hacen sentir. Con que ganas esperamos los partidos y los preparamos como el gran acontecimiento de la semana, como alucinamos con lo fantásticamente bien que juegan y lo orgullosos que estamos de que su intensidad sea casi mayor en el minuto 9️⃣0️⃣ que en el 1️⃣... Como nos levantamos a media noche para ver los partidos de Pachuca en vivo, o repetimos una y otra vez jugadas suyas como la de Ibiza que son pura magia🧛...

Pero lamentablemente no es eso lo que a ellas les llega😞, especialmente a Jenni, sino la sensación...

... de que no se les perdona ni una😖 porque lo que se hizo ayer hoy ya no cuenta. Excesivos mensajes, vía redes o incluso a pie de campo, cuestionando su estado de forma, sus relaciones, como se divierten o en que invierten su dinero...

...de que cuando se movilizan para defender sus derechos y de las jugadoras que las seguirán, lo hacen solas

Así que es extremadamente urgente que activemos nuestra memoria🧠, y que no la desconectamos un solo instante, para que esta generación de futbolistas única e irrepetible, sobretodo una de sus jugadoras emblema JH, tengan por fin una afición que les hace sentir como ellas merecen y aún mejor 🙏

50 Lost Years (who I recommend you check out anyways) has launched a campaign today to profile different figures within women's football's present and history motivating us to keep playing and getting involved with the game.

I thought this would be cool to do on tumblr too, to try and showcase people within the women's football community that has contributed to you being here today. The rules simply are: 1) name and explain why a certain player, club, group of people etc are part of the reason why you're part of this community and 2) Tag a bunch of people to do the same

Hopefully, in this way, we can showcase a diverse and brilliant community of people and organisations which has made women's football what it is today and will shape the path for radical improvements in the future.

I shall get the ball rolling with my own ones:

Futfem Journalists. Media is so so important for the improvement and popularisation of women's football. It provides the coverage, it gives voice to the struggles and achievements, it elevates the game. And, in many cases, it's done more out of love than of a stable career.

Conchi Sanchez. She paved the way for women's football in Spain during the transition period, and although she had to play most of her career in Italy and England, she's most definitely left a mark on Spanish history as one of the best and most influential players to date. Only around 10 years after she retired I began to play, and who knows how many more barriers I might have had to face without players like her leading the way.

also, how do you know so much abt futfem/barca/catalan culture?? are you catalan?

haha, you've pretty much nailed all the current couples on the team.

cgh and marta remind me a lot of maren mjelde/fran kirby. just totally chill and going on with their lives and couldn't be bothered. i wouldn't be surprised if cgh and marta were married with two kids and we were only finding out about it now. after all, marta spent this past winter break in norway with cgh's family and it was really cute seeing all the insta stories of her sledding and playing in the snow.

cgh was even on wag duties with catalunya this weekend supporting marta. just a rather solid, unproblematic couple.

now as for ona and lucy, there are a whole lot of people on tumblr who have put the clues together, and they are pretty convincing. so if you search for ona and lucy's name together, you'll find a lot of social media detective work. but to me, this was the most indicative set of pictorial evidence since kristie mewis and sam kerr decided to show good sportsmanship at the olympics. 😉

now for whatever reason, people seem most unconvinced by patri and pina, but let me say this: i love my best friends, but if i spent every single vacation and summer break and weekends off with my "best friend," then my significant other would be pretty pissed. plus, they did go in a cop and robber couples costume during nye 22, so there's that...

anyway, i've been a fan of fc barcelona since i was young, but really started following the women's team in 2019. and no, i'm not catalan by birth, but have perhaps achieved "honorary" status through family, friends, and romantic life choices 😉 (my catalan isn't as good as my spanish, but i'm working on it!) and i love a good calçotada!

holi! bona tarda, and thank you so much! (and i enjoy your blog too 🫶🏽!) i figured that there have been a lot of new fans to barça/spain nt, especially post world cup so thought i'd jump on here to chat. 😊

so i've always been a fan of barça's men ever since i was young, but didn't really start following barça women until 2019 actually, post women's world cup. i first saw spain women (and alexia!) during the 2015 world cup, but i didn't seriously follow them until 2019 when i thought they were the only team to really give uswnt a hard time and seriously surprised me with their performance. (as an aside, i knew of vero boquete and jenni hermoso even before 2019, because they played for some top teams in woso like tyreso but 2019 was really what changed it all!)

and to see where barça started back in those days to where they are now and the dominant force they have become is such a wonderful story and really is a prime example of what investment in women's football can do. and it really highlighted what a generational group of talent and women they all are.

as for where to dig, haha. well primarily, i rely on my memory and old social media accounts and then the social media accounts of players. there's also way more media coverage (relevo, etc.) that i pull from, but also old futfem coverage like from el patio.

i get this question a lot but i made this side account from my original tumblr as a joke because of dumb speculation about alexia's relationship following the world cup, which is why there isn't a ton on this blog yet, but i have lots of curious anons so happy to talk about my favorite teams and players!

LAS REINAS TOMAN LA PALABRA 🥳

Estos días estoy bastante " de los nervios"😁, lo reconozco. Y es que mucho me temo que la pesadilla que de momento solo es fruto de mi imaginación 🤔, se va a convertir en angustiante realidad una noche de éstas. A no ser que, con el último suspiro de 2022 ocurra una acción milagrosa, que ahora por ahora se antoja impensable.

Por eso mismo me he puesto "manos a la obra"y estoy decidida a darle unos cuantos retoques, estando aún despierta, para que la susodicha pesadilla se transforme en un dulce sueño. De aquellos que hacen que te levantes con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja, con un extra de energía positiva para todo el día, y no con gotas de sudor del sufrimiento y una cara como si acabaras de salir de la casa del terror!

Os cuento:

Las primeras imagenes que van pasando por mi cabeza son todas de caras de felicidad .🥰 Mire donde mire, es igual. Un campo lleno de gente cantando y saltando, celebrando los goles del equipo femenino. Un grupo de hombres en un bar, a los que se les cae la baba hablando de lo bien que juegan las jugadoras de su club, y de cómo se dejan la piel en cada partido. Un puñado de jóvenes luciendo súper orgullosos y orgullosas las camisetas de las futbolistas que adoran. Un partidillo en un patio de colegio con un montón de niños y niñas pasándoselo en grande, haciéndose pasar por J, A, M, G.... Una plantilla al completo celebrando los trofeos de su capitana y amiga...

Me lo estoy pasando de lujo, cuando de repente esas imágenes son sustituidas por un montón de ordenadores sacando humo. Está todo muy oscuro, tétrico, pero con " penas y trabajo" consigo leer lo que dice el primero, el segundo y el enésimo mensaje. No veo caras pero si pots que parecen todos hechos por el mismo patrón, y no me lo puedo creer. Yo alucino! ponen de vuelta a media a unas de nuestras mejores jugadoras de siempre, y para siempre (J). Y parece que hay ruido personal de fondo. No entiendo nada. Pero aquí que está pasando? Es una broma de mal gusto. ? Ya sé, lo hacen para engañar y cuando ya hayan mosqueado a unas cuantas, van a publicar cientos de fotos con ella haciendo virguerías y ellas disfrutando el no va más...

Pero de eso nada, en mi sueño van pasando los días, y la cosa no mejora, no en pintura!. Si que de tanto en tanto se cuela algún mensaje que la deja por las nubes o algún otro con tono de cabreo porque la cosa ya pasa de castaño oscuro... Pero la verdad es que no les hacen ni cosquillas, no sé si es por quien los pública, pero les resbala y no aflojan ni queriendo.

Cuando la situación pinta que ya no puede empeorar, pues Si. Aparecen unos ordenadores que no me suenan de nada. Repito la operación y me acerco a leer los nuevos posts. O no! Me froto los ojos!! Ahora a la que le toca es a la otra jugadora descomunal! (A). Y también con ruido personal de fondo! Y aunque tampoco veo las caras, está muy claro que las mismas no son.

Esto es desesperante! El año de gloria del FUTFEM, del oro y la plata. Y en vez de poner la alfombra roja, y enviar millones de publicaciones pero dándoles las gracias, a una la están machacando hace un lustro y con la otra ya han empezado, y lo más grave es que los temas deportivos parecen importar un pimiento.

Cuando mi cabeza está a punto de pedir a gritos que esta PENOSA PESADILLA llegue a su fin. Oh milagro... Los ordenadores criticones han desaparecido del mapa. Y en su lugar A y J TOMAN LA PALABRA. Un mensaje conjunto que se cuela en todas las redes sociales, para que se entere todo Dios. Lo dicen al unísono para que haya 0 dudas. Jugar juntas las ha hecho las mejores futbolistas. El respeto y la admiración mutua son y serán eternos. Atacar a una nunca será defender a la otra.

Stop!! Disfrutad del FUTFEM!

It really depends on the media, like in any other country. Some ~journalists are here for the clicks whether it's true or not, and others are actually professionals that want to do their job properly. A club or the players' managers should be the ones to filter who has access to them aka who's actually a professional that's not there to clickbait and slander.

What's funny is that, from what I see, RM is actually not blasted as much as other clubs in most mainstream media because Florentino is a Very Powerful Man here. And when I say this I mean, probably the most powerful man in the country. So I think the problem is probably that they don't want to give up that control in terms of image etc. As in, they 100% control what their players do in media (not social media), and that's something they prefer. Because there's very good professionals in Spain that focus on woso and know their stuff and I know they'd do an amazing job.

That said, I'm guessing this is something she's been fed. I've seen a couple instances of clickbaity headlines but it's not something that happens all the time, so I truly do not think it's the norm. At least not right now. Maybe once woso becomes more mainstream it will be, but I think they'd be fine giving interviews. But really, I do not think the female RM players should worry about incendiary headlines lol

Honestly I thought it had just been a meeting between the captains and manager at the end of the season and both sides talked about what could be improved and what they didn't like and Sport was being dramatic to get clicks.

We’ll apparently know tomorrow since apparently they’re going to make a statement. I feel like they’ve been complaining through the season about the lack of rest/rotations and how to work better on that and yeah, the media is being dramatic. But the fans aren’t helping either. Between the dude football fans calling the players entitled and the futfem fans pretending a dog could manage the team and get the same titles, Twitter is a nightmare rn lol

I know RM is not really liked in woso tumblr but I am really excited for it to finally be official and see women play with Real Madrid's crest on their chests.

Lol them trying to change their social media all day has been an interesting journey, but looks like they got there in the end with a video of some women standing on the pitch whilst all the men run riot and win trophies in other clips. Anyways, whether some may say it's for better or for worse is up for debate, but it's certainly an important moment in futfem history just because of how much of a high profile and calibre the club has. It was high time this moment arrived!
