Part 5

Joel Goran x reader

Ft. Klaroline and other TVD/TO characters, as well as Saving Hope characters.

a/n: this is, as my friend @rissyrapp20 said - Joel Goran meets the Mystic Falls/NOLA gang. But it is totally AU- Klaus Mikaelson is a surgeon, and so Y/N and Caroline Forbes.

There is a lot of drama- quite a lot going on. LOL. Also, this is an extra long part. I hope you enjoy it. I so appreciate you all reading it. xoxo

Klaus' accident gathered the whole Mikaelson family together.

Klaus was already in the OR, and the whole team of attendants were fighting for his life, and the open leg fracture needed Joel's expertise.

He scrubbed as fast as he could and got in the OR.

Caroline, as tough and collected as she was, now felt like she was in pieces. The same as the moment she had been told her parents were killed. She was in love with Klaus, more than she thought she was.

Y/N/ felt for her sister deeply and now hugged her, comforting her-

"He'll be fine."

"They said that about Jeremy, but - you know-"

"I know."- Y/N remembered well how they stood in front of the OR when the surgeons tried to save their brother's life. And couldn't.

Rebekah, who now saw both Caroline and Y/N went to them and now spat at them-

"This is all your fault."

"What?"- Y/N now shot back at the blonde.

"Don't act innocent. You're the cause they were fighting and he went off driving away like a maniac."- Rebekah continued.

Freya now went to them to stop them before thungs escalate any further.

Camille, who had wondered if there already had been some else, now went to Y/N and Caroline as well.

"So, it's you who has been sleeping with my husband?!"- Camille said looking at Caroline with eyes full of anger and hurt.

"Please"- Freya now said-"let's all calm down. This is a hospital."

Esther, who came from the rest room, saw the commotion and joined them as well to see what was going on.

Y/N, the diplomat now said looking to Rebekah and then Camille saying-

"Your friend is right. This is a hospital."- and she then pulled Caroline away from all of the Mikaelson women, and they went away from them.

As interns, they were allowed to go to the OR gallery.

"Thank you."- Caroline said to Y/N as they sat down in the gallery area.

"#Sistersforever!"- Y/N said.

They both now watched Joel in action. And he really was the rock star of orthopedic surgery.

Y/N watched him with so much love and her heart plumed up.

Caroline now having calmed down a bit and seeing Y/N's starry eyes as she looked down in the OR she now asked her bff about the kiss.

"He came to say that - he is in love with me."- Y/N said.

"Wow!"- Caroline exclaimed-"Really?"

"Aha."- Y/N just uttered.

"I am happy for you."- Caroline said with a small smile curling up on her face.

"It will happen for you, too."

"I just want now Klaus to be ok. That's all I want."- Caroline said.

"He will."- Y/N said and put her hand on her friends to comfort her.

Outside, Esther was giving Rebekah some talking to regarding her behaviour earlier.

"You will apologize. I have not brought you up to act this way. Especially not in public. If or when there is something to deal with- it is done within the frame of the family."- Esther said.

"I am not apologizing to her."- Rebekah said.

"You will. And I don't want to hear another thing about it."- Esther said and walked over to her husband now seeing that the Chief of Surgery got out to talk to them about Klaus and the OP.

Klaus was out of danger and everyone now breathed a sigh of relief.

"When can I see him?" Camille wanted to know.

"In a few hours. When he regains comes out of the anesthesia."

Mikael and Esther thanked Alaric, who said that there was nothing to be thanked for.

"We did our job. And thanks to Dr Goran, we saved his leg. Ok. I am here for you, but now you will have to excuse me."

Mikael nodded a little. And then looked at Esther, who swayed her look to her daughters.

Joel was the next to come out and Mikael now turned to him and looked at him somewhat poignantly and then walked over to him saying pretty emotionally-

"Thank you, son"

Joel replied as no big deal, looked at Mikael a bit surprised at what he had said for a nanosecond, which made Mikael correct himself immediately-

"Dr Goran- I apologize, I didn't want to be - so - you understand."

"Don't worry. It's fine."- Joel dismissed it-"you should now get some rest. It's been a long night."

"Yes, it has. Thank you once again."

Joel just nodded a little and with a little hand gestured of bye, he went away from the old man.

Mikael looked after Joel for a few more seconds, trying to compose all his feelings, before he rejoined the rest of his family.

Joel went to the doctor's lounge to get himself a drink of juice. The door swung open and Y/N walked in.

"You are still here??"- he was surprised to see her in the doctor's lounge.

"I stayed for Caroline But I went home to get some stuff. It's not long before our shift start,so we are going to sleep in the on-call room. You?"

"I am staying, too. There's no point of going home and then be back here in just three hours."- Joel said.

"It isn't really. God, it was so intense."

"How is Caroline?"

"Emotionally exhausted."- Y/N said.

"So, her and Klaus?!"

"Yeah, they had a thing."- Y/N now said.

"Right."- Joel said pouring himself some more orange juice.

"You know- you so rocked in there earlier."

"Oh, yeah?"- Joel said with a charming smile.

"Yeah!"- Y/N replied with a sweet smile back at him.

"So, - going to sleep?"- he said.

"I am. See you later."- Y/N now went to take a bottle of water from the fridge that was on the way to the door.

"See you"- Joel said with a slight disappointment in his voice.

As Y/N got the bottle, she turned around and said -"I forgot something"- and walked over to Joel and placed a little kiss on his lips.

"Night."- Y/N said as she broke away from the kiss, smiling at him, her eyes sparkling happily.

"Night"- he smiled back at her as she walked away out of the lounge. His heart jumped with joy.

Y/N and Joel being together went viral. Everyone had different opinion about it, but they kept it to themselves.

The only person that was relevant was Alex and Joel now went to talk to as he felt he needed to because Alex was having his baby.

"Thanks for telling me. Although, who you're being exclusive with or - are dating really is not my concern. I have talked to a lawyer about drawing up papers that none of your women have anything to do with our kid."

"You did?"

"I did. What did you expect? A week or so ago, you were nearly standing trial. I don't t know what can happen next, so I went to consult myself about your rights as a father and about the custody, and what it all entails."- Alex said.

"Right. Were you going to tell me this? Or would I be just getting a letter?"

"Of course, but you are so busy with so many things. You never once called me to ask me about me or the baby when you were away.

"I have left you a message that I was going to New Zealand because. I needed to clear my head - all that had happened and what I had done really kicked me hard."

"I get it. I thought I deserved more than just a message. But I guess consoling yourself with Y/N came first. Oh, I really don't give a shit actually. But you should know that the baby is my no.1 priority now. And if you want to be in its life, you really should think what you are doing."- and with that Alex walked away, leaving Joel feeling like he was punched hard. But he could not fault her, but he had not expected her to be still that cold.

Elsewhere

Klaus was stabile, but he had not regained consciousness. But it was nothing unusual after the trauma he had received in the tumble as his car slid off the road.

Camille and his family were constantly there with him, which didn't give Caroline much opportunity to spend very little time with him.

After Y/N told Joel that Caroline being so hung up on Klaus, he did his best to have her there during doctors' rounds more than it was usual, as she was not on his team, which irritated Camille extremely.

And so, as Caroline was on her way home one day, Camille stopped her outside the hospital, in the parking lot.

"I know that you have to be there as it is part of your internship, but you will stay away from my husband. I don't know what he has promised you or said, but we will not get divorced. And if you don't I will make sure you lose your job. Is that understood."

Caroline just gave Camille a silent look at first and then said- "No wonder he was getting divorced"- and got into her car.

She knew that she would mist probably get some backlash, but she just couldn't keep quiet. When she got close to the Grill, where she was to meet Y/N and her bestue Rayna, she stopped the car. Overwhlemed with emotions, tears now flooded and she burst out crying bitterly.

A couple of days later, Caroline slipped to see Klaus only when the Mikaelson's went home for the night. She knew they had no future, but it was hard to let him go. Her heart was hung up on him and there was nothing she could do, but she knew that she had to cut her strings and now taking his hand said-

"We like - just had this thing- but it was so much more to me. Crazy. But I fell in love. But, it is not going to happen, I know. So- I am going to go now. You just get better. And - yeah- that is it for us."- Tatia's eyes now watered. She got up and placed a kiss on Klaus' lips. She walked out of the ICU, hear heart breaking into half.

Klaus opened his eyes and now said in a low faint voice

"Caro..."

Somewhat earlier

Alaric asked Joel to accompany him on a meeting regarding the new wing of Children’s Orthopaedics.

"I need you there as an expert in the field."- Alaric said -"and if things get going, I think of naming you Chief of the Children Orthopedics."

"Really?"- Joel didn't expect that.

"I know you will have loads on the plate with your own child on the way, but now is the time to get in. I think you are ready for this."

" Thank you, but can I sleep on it?"

"Sure."- Alaric said.

At the meeting Joel was seriously into the whole thing and Alaric let him take over at one point.

A bit later

Y/N called Joel as she was getting out of the hospital-

"Hey, how was your meeting?"

"Pretty good!"-

"I will cook tonight"- Y/N said-"so, if you want to eat, you can join us."

"Ok. I'll be there in an hour."

"Ok, see you there."

Caroline, who was supposed to get there called Y/N and said that she was going to meet with Rayna and grab a bit of something.

So, when Joel arrived, Y/N said -

"It's just the two of us."

"That's ok."

"Yeah. I need to finish the salad dressing and we are good to go."- Y/N said.

Joel now took off his suit jacket and put his backpack on the chair. "Can I help with something?"- he offered.

"Ahm- no, not really, would you try this"- Y/N now first tried a bit of the salad herself, and got a tiny bit of the dressing left on the corner of her mouth.

Joel, seeing it took the smudge of the mayo with his thumb off , sliding it a down her lower lip-

"I'd like to"- he said seductively looking at her, and now neared her placing a kiss on her lips.

Joel's kisses were heaven, and Y/N melted completely, now forgetting about the food. All fired up, her hands now were pulling his shirt out of his trousers, then travelling up to undo the tie pulling it up getting stuck half way up Joel's head, hurting his ear a bit.

"Ah" Joel sounded off - now getting the tie off himself. "Sorry"- Y/N said apologetically, checking his ear now-"Here, I'll kiss it better."- placing a kiss on it, her lips now working teasingly with small kisses down his neck, as Joel quickly unbuttoned his shirt, sliding it off, while Y/N took her sweater off. He now lifted her up on the kitchen counter, his lips on hers, nibbling teasingly, driving Y/N completely out of her mind, as he masterfully undid her black lace bra, brushing gently with his fingers up her back to the neck, giving her sweet little shivers, as he deepened the kiss.

"Bed"- Y/N whispered catching a bit of breath back, him acknowledging her wish with a little peck, her straddling him then. Now in her room, they tumbled on the bed, hands peeling the clothes off bit by bit, in between loving kisses dancing all over the body, running the fire higher until- it all comes undone with one sound-

beep, beep-

"No"- Y/N exclaimed breathless- knowing so well what the sound was.

"I am sorry"- Joel whispered giving her a peck as he now got up and went to check the pager that he left in the kitchen.

Returning to the bedroom, he said with a sorry face on - “Got to go”

"Damn"- Y/N sighed in frustration.

"I know. Make it up later."- Joel now gave her another small kiss and got dressed.

” I will be back."- Joel said-"and - well-"

”And I will be here."- she now gave him a little kiss.

"That's one really bad thing about being a doctor."- Joel said as he got his backpack-"later."

"Later."- Y/N waved a little at him as he walked out of the door, slumping down on the sofa. But that was one of those things she knew she would have to get used to.

She took the TV remote control and put it on. As she was a bit hungry, she took some food, she had made, as she knew Joel would be gone for at least a couple of hours, if not longer depending on the emergency.

Her phone beeped msg alert and she now opened the message box. It was Caroline.

"Staying at Rayna's. I hope you are having fun."

Y/N now wrote a message back to her friend- "No fun. Joel's been paged back to hospital. xo"

Caroline now sent this back- "😞"

Y/N sighed and now went to get some chocolate. At least she would have some bit of pleasure that night.
