The Gaslight District is so, SO good already and all we've gotten so far is the pilot!
I have to say it is REALLY cool to make the Angels reminiscent of crows/ravens when they're usually more associated with themes like Death/Reapers and the Underworld/Hell.

I’ve discovered my life’s calling: writing a zine about Jordan Peterson falling hard for Murdoc. It will explore themes of self and where one truly exists in the intersection of myth and reality.

The creature on the throne leans down a little. Despite its unusual anatomy, it looks like it's crossing its legs.
"Okay," it says. "Here's the broad strokes, so try to keep up. You: antichrist, world: destined to end. You are the catalyst that sets reality ablaze and all that. You were supposed to destroy it before your sixteenth birthday, but we all got a little sidetracked at the prospect of the nineties and Beelz swore up and down you were a good enough lad, evil and despicable down to your rotten core, he said, so we postponed. Maybe a little too long, since it seems you've already died at least once since that time..."

Favourite Murdoc headcanon?
Great question, thank you! ♡♡♡
I really like to believe that Murdoc has feelings for 2D and vice-versa and that they end up healing and learning how to be together in a healthy way.
But you said Murdoc specifically and idk if you like 2doc so I'm gonna choose another hc: Bi!Murdoc accepting himself and overcoming his past traumas 🥴
What's yours?

(preface: i'm trying to understand you here, not ridicule you, your whole attitude is just extremely confusing to me)
are you aware that things can be counterculture without being punk? i am very aware that the internet generally and tumblr even more so has a habit of using that word in a way that just points at general vibes and i don't consider that really helpful.
because, mostly, at its core, punk is a music based subculture. it is often associated with a few specific ideologies but in the end, there are entire subgenres about not wanting tofucking care abt politics (looking at oi! here), and the scene stilr has and pretty much always had a nazi problem (next to the general problems of the scene, especially regarding misogyny and racism even in self defined leftist environments)
but, to get back to my point: if you get into a scene bc of your expectation of vibes and then find out that a lot of it revolves around the music, and then do not like and complain about that music, neither you nor the people around you are having a good time.
so i don't really understand why you would complain about music you consider punk being too harsh when one of the most defining parts of both punk as music and as a subculture is about being loud and obnoxious and angry. walking into a setting defined by bands like class and the clash and black flag and the dead kennedys (with its own subgenre for harder music) just seems kind of ignorant to me. like, i don't define myself as an indie pop fan only to then complain that the music is lacking heavy bass and fast loud drums, you know?
i think a lot of people online just conflate the terms "punk", " cool" and "counterculture" to a degree where discussions around punk become rather nonsensical to me.
so i would mostly like to know: what do you gain from defining punk in a way that directly contradicts the way 99℅ of other people use the word? for me, genre names are useful for finding discussions and somewhat similar music, but by just grouping a lot of genres that do not share a lot of similarities with each other neither of that seems very possible.
(as a side note, "influence" really does not equal "genre it belongs to". for example, there are a whole bunch of metal bands that take a good amount of influence from either folk or classical music, but i have yet to see someone argue that listening to symphonic metal is basically the same thing as to listen to a classical symphony)

i hope tumblr users never stop talking about punk music i think we deserve this

Gorillaz need to be featured in more collab DLC for rhythm games.
I'm not talking like DDR or that fornite-focused one (bc they already are on there/were on there at some point), but stuff like DJMax Respect. Muse Dash.

ORDINARY DESTRUCTION THEME SONGS PART 2!!!
We were just thinking in our heads and thought to ourselves, do they have a theme song?
So logically, we said screw it.
Yes they do.
