Every day i find discourse i didn't want to know about.
So, we're gentrifying the word "gentrification" now?
#oh yes. good. lets take ANOTHER word used to describe a problem specifically faced by poor black and other minority communities#being actively systemically and maliciously pushed out of cities to bring in the more 'desirable' white demographic#and start not only applying it to amy situation where 'its harder for me to find/do what i need/liked because this other version got more#popular' but then also get DEFENSIVE when told that that's... a little fucked up.#'bUt if 'Words MEAN Things' like OP says then ETYMOLOGICALLY the HISTORY of the word is-'#FUCK etymology#if I'm having a discussion about a problem being faced specifically by gay communities and someone comes up like 'im gay too! gay as in...#happy! cuz you know. the history of the word-' im fucking decking that person in the face#and i almost wrote a whole long thing on that post but i had to be like#mmmmmm will that actually help anything? or just make you a target#so. taking my own advice and Just Make(ing) Your (My) Own Post.
