so i was in fact just rewatching little shop (favorite musical. eclipse prep. as one does) and i know menken/ashman talk about it being a faustian bargain between seymour and twoey, but in rewatching the movie i never really noticed before that patrick martin (jim belushi's character) is dressed in a red suit jacket. i wonder if that's... purposeful. or just coincidence?

#the whole thing is campy enough that it might not be? but i feel like you don't make that costuming choice by accident #and all the other people bringing Offers are just in grays and browns and so forth #i mean like. the chorus girls wear red too. very dramatically sometimes. and they're not really more than a greek chorus.#he's also just.
