So yes I have OF COURSE read @naffeclipse new fic Apex Polarity and yes, I AM OBSESSED!

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

And lastly I also want to @themeeplord beacuse Eclipse's design is basically their design in my style (god I love their design so much, their character/creature designs are the BEST) so all the credit goes to them! Dib probably could've gotten everyone to realise it sooner if he called Zim an "extraterrestrial" instead of an "alien" because of that secondary meaning attached to "alien"

I mean it might've helped his dad see it faster? because Professor Membrane constantly thought of Zim as an immigrant from another country, hence the second meaning of the word "alien".

i have beef with this awful 2” blindbag figurine of dib. here are my reasons:

- came with a shitty little stand which i LOST so now he can’t stand on his own AND has an unfortunately placed peg hole in his back

- ugly as sin, mainly due to the quality but it BUT ALSO it does not help that jhonen vasquez’s old art style is difficult to translate to 3D without it looking awkward as fuck

- it’s directly modeled after dib’s most commonly used official art from the TV series, pose and all. BORINGGG

- i’m reluctant to get rid of it because dib is rarely featured in merch so i’d feel kinda bad for the fictional cartoon boy
