Y’all I just had an epiphany based upon two of my hyper fixations colliding.

In a crossover where Dream SMP characters take the place of the main characters from Detroit Become Human.....

Ranboo is Connor. They are both constantly the most stuck at the crossroads between right and wrong, and are incredibly reliant on others to help define their moral compass. Both have an inconsistent memory that may be tampered with, are under the thumb of another being (Dream/Amanda) and may or may not go against “programming”. Their morals may seem solid to them, but in reality they are constantly in flux. “Choosing a side” may be a struggle for them... they may instead dislike and like people from both sides, and only help who they feel deserves it. Connor and Ranboo are both initially morally neutral characters that could go either way or neither way due to their “blank slate” beginnings, and we have to wait and see which ways they will turn.

Captain Puffy is Kara. Both have become sort of adoptive mother figures to children who have faced much more than they should have, and both are willing to do whatever it takes to keep these children safe from those who wish harm upon them. Both face multiple obstacles in order to achieve this goal, and in the story it is unclear whether or not success will be possible. Both characters are quicker to trust despite the world they live in, and are burned badly as a result. Occasionally they can find people to trust through trial and error. Both can either take very pacifistic or very aggressive approaches to achieving their goal.

Wilbur is Markus. Both are revolutionaries who wish to fight for the freedom of their kind (androids/L’Manbergians), and while they wish for peace, they are not necessarily adverse to violence to get their way. No matter what route you play, Markus is honestly a very assertive character, and so is Wilbur. Both are determined to win freedom, whatever it takes. Wilbur obviously took a very destructive route later on in life, but he did have some good in him at some point, and anyways I’m talking more so about Wilbur pre-exile than post exile. Markus can also take a very destructive root that is incredibly counterintuitive in the long run. Ultimately both set out with the goal of freeing their people, and may lose sight of empathy and heart in the long run.

Dream is Amanda and/or Kamski. Because obviously. Dream is the creator of the situation that the universe finds itself in, like Kamski, and like Kamski he kind of just wants to see the culmination of his work, which is probably chaos. Also weirdo god complex shit. Like Amanda he has Connor/Ranboo under his thumb and wants to use him to further his plans, though who knows if he will succeed or not.

I just think it’d be hilarious for Tommy to be Gavin Reed in this scenario even if he doesn’t truly fit, just because him treating Ranboo badly for no reason is kind of a thing now. Currently I do think Tommy would kick Ranboo’s ass in the context of the lore if he went rogue.

I’d be interested to see y’all’s thoughts if you have any. I feel as though I was possessed to write this instead of do my homework lmao.

(Ranboo if you’re stalking through the tags on here I really do hope you play DBH, it’s such a good game that I’d love to hear your thoughts on, and your character is such a Connor kinnie it’s not even funny.)
