happiness is a masterpiece from start to finish...the lyricism is top tier ("no one teaches you what to do / when a good man hurts you / and you know you hurt him too" + "when did all our lessons start to look like weapons pointed at my deepest hurt?" + "i can't make it go away by making you a villain" + "across our great divide / there is a glorious sunrise") and the way the instrumental slowly builds throughout the song and changes from melancholy at the beginning to hopeful at the end...it feels like going through all five stages of grief, finally landing on acceptance at the end, and it would remain that way even if she didn't sing a single lyric. like. the entire song is just so well constructed and so cathartic and brilliant and no one ever talks about it 😭😔
