hi! I miss drawing with people in a café and some folks mentioned they'd like to mess with my sketches themselves and that sounds cool so this is now a thing. if u play gartic phone this is basically the complement mode! but without the fucking ring noise that freaks you out right when you're getting into the flow of it

few things are 1/there's no hard deadline! take this at ur own pace if u do, but 2/I'll also be finishing this sketch and I estimate it to take around uhh 3 to 4 days? from the time this is posted. so if that's a structure u like then let's aim for something done in that timespan as well! and 3/if u finish ur piece and post it and want me to see it the best way to do that is to @ this blog! above all we go into this one determined to have fun and enjoy. (Basic context is that AU of Duel Desinties where the phantom impersonates Phoenix to get him found guilty of Clay's murder, I talk more under the cut abt it jkhlj)

-Basically meant to be a parallel to turnabout trump, cause if you can have ONE boss get found guilty of murder, why not a second one?

-OK basically: everything in DD happens normally until like- a day before clays murder, Phoenix gets yoinked by the phantom somehow (he is still alive, just being held captive), Phantom is still Fulbright, but they've decided to be silly goofy (target Phoenix and get him found guilty of murder, escape police custody and then murder phoenix and make it seem like Phoenix accidentally died while on the run, thats why they didn't kill phoenix right away unlike the real Fulbright) there is an imposter amo-

-I dont have the logistics as to how this affects solving Metis's murder, and how it effects what evidence is used n whatnot and turnabout for tomorrow as a whole, so im just going nuts HGJKHLJ

-Originally I was actually imagining this taking place during turnabout for tomorrow and I wanted that case to be apollo v klavier instead of phoenix and edgeworth and thats why klav is in here instead of Simon (I decided that Simon got badly injured and couldn't stand in court for the retrial, so klavier was asked to step in)

-The courtroom bombing still happens the same way it does normally, but Apollo decides to take up the case again instead of taking a leave, instead of like, you know, healing from the traumatic event that just happened, turnabout countdown still happens as well

-Apollo and Athena do not find out about the phantom's existence until well after this trial, so they have no idea that Phoenix could've possibly been replaced, though simon, after hearing about the trial, might be suspicious about whether or not that was the real Phoenix

-The Phantom had been not only keeping an eye on Simon for a while, but was also stalking Phoenix and Edgeworth after they both started looking into UR-1, so they were able to impersonate phoenix so well that not even his own daughter thought that anything was up (though while Trucy did find him a *little* bit off, but she figured that it might've been the bombing that caused him to act ever so slightly weird, so she didn't pay much mind to it until she heard about his confession in court and realized it might've been because he possibly, ya know, killed someone)

-it's pretty much just switching Athena being framed for murder with Phoenix, and instead of the trial ending on a cliffhanger, it continues on (probably with Klavier insisting on it) ending with soloman being found innocent and Phoenix being declared guilty

-There's a couple days inbetween the end of the cosmic turnabout and the start of turnabout for tomorrow, so Athena, Apollo and Trucy all get a little bit to process the fact that "oh god my boss/my dad killed someone" (simons execution date is pushed back a bit in this au) and they probably get to talk with Klavier and eventually a lil bit with Simon after he gets out

-Im not sure how it all winds down in turnabout for tomorrow (Phoenix escaping and being at large is basically the perfect cover for the phantom to resume being fulbright for that trial) but they do eventually realize that the phoenix who confessed wasn't the real one and now there's a search on going to find out where the real one is being held captive, hes fineeee just ready to take a week long nap and a good vacation (along with every other waa member)

-I dont have anything else to add on rn but if you want to add something or just throw in a scenario feel free to!! this idea has been bouncing around my head for like a month now and Im very happy to finally show yall it

sometimes i get the sense that reid is more attached to gideon than gideon is to reid. obviously they both serve as surrogates for the family member each is estranged from (gideon is estranged from his son and reid is estranged from his dad) but.

you know. reid clings to gideon, not physically but emotionally, and i think a lot of his wellbeing at the start of the series relies on gideon's presence. gideon almost certainly knows the most about reid out of anyone on the team—i don't think canon ever says that reid has told gideon about diana, but i would imagine he has—and i think reid feels understood by him in a way he doesn't by other people, even compared to the rest of the team who (mostly) try their best. i think he also tends to try to be as good and deserving as possible of gideon's presence, since he definitely at least partially feels like his father left because he wasn't good enough.

on the flipside, while gideon definitely sees reid as a son, he's...not the best dad. i think we see him repeating a lot of the mistakes that drove a wedge between him and stephen with reid, and i think that had mandy patinkin stayed on, we would have gotten a larger parallel there. he holds him at arms length, trying not to get too close, although he definitely cares about him more than he lets on and the mask slips sometimes, like this moment and on the plane after ldsk.

Let’s imagine price in the communal showers, sneaking in once everyone gone’s out, soaping himself up fully relaxed because he’s waited so long for this chance.

See Price knows it’s silly, he’s in the army he should be used to taking shower with other men and he is that doesn’t mean that he enjoys it.

So he’ll take the first best opportunity to shower alone, almost sneaking inside into the communal showers which is embarrassing, but he doesn’t allow himself to think too much about it as he lathers soap into his body.

He feels so relaxed like this, humming a tune while letting the hot sprays hit his tense muscles.

“Captain!” Price almost jumps 10 feet into the air, awkwardly bumping into the soap stand as he cranks his neck to meet your gaze.

“Thought I’d find you here” you say with a smirk on your face, fully aware you’d scared the man half way to death.

Price’s looks away from your face down to your body instead, noting the shower products in your hand and the towel hanging dangerous low around your waist.

“What’s so urgent that you had to look for me here?” He says as he discretely turns his body away, enough so that you only get a view of his bare behind.

“Nothing” you say smirk still ever so present on your face as you drop your towel onto the floor “just wanted to see you”

And although price is feeling rather uncomfortable he can’t help but snort at your comment but doesn’t respond.

You quickly make your way over to the shower head next to him, humming a tune of your own while pouring shampoo into the palm of your hand.

As you lather up your hair and body you notice just how tense Price seems to be, keeping his head turned to face the wall, hands close to his chest as if an attempt at covering up every part of his body he can.

“Don’t tell me you’re feeling shy captain” you say in an attempt to tease.

“I’m not” he grunts out but you can still hear the slight discomfort in his voice and can’t help but feel concerned.

You fully turn to him now, soap rinsing off your body as you stand under the hot spray. As if feeling you burn holes into his neck, he turns around to meet your gaze.

“What?” He says, attempting to sound more harsh but looking even more vulnerable with the way he subtly tries to hide himself.

“Are you alright?” You say, concern now prominent in your tone.

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

You keep staring at him, silently telling him you don’t believe him, silently telling him that it’s clear as day something is up especially the way he keeps trying to cover himself up as if it’s his first time showering with another man.

Price has never been one to give up easily so it’s only natural that he turns towards you, body in full view while trying to hold your gaze.

Your lips twitch at the corner of your mouth and you desperately try to suppress a smile “Good” you say, licking your lips as your eyes wander down his body “because I don’t see a reason as to why you should feel shy” you say, now sporting a big smile on your face and as price’s own eyes start to wonder, he ends up seeing just how honest you were being.
