trying and failing not to get mad anew that my hs friends who are now dating trans women are all the same people who constantly they/them'd my ex-girlfriend even though those were like never her pronouns

#never ask a woman her age a man his salary or your she/they partner how they were treating trans women in 2013 #i hope that they've grown as people and like learned how not to be transmisogynist but it's just hard not to be a little annoyed!#like oh you're ally of the year now but what about when you were pointedly misgendering my ex #like why did you do a little pause and go .........they every time your referred to her #i try to accept that people grow and change but i get really mad on my ex's behalf because she's really shy and quiet #and people often take that as permission to step all over her #what the hell man #personal nonsense #*transmisogynistic sorry i think that's the right adjective form
