Sadly i think them actually meeting would be sybil saying "who are you again?" and jasper throwing himself off the building

THIS MADE ME GIGGLE. I actually talked back and fourth with my partner a bit about Jasper and Sybil and the concept of re-connecting, and just the two of them in general, because of a silly AU concept he bought up pfft. They're both rather complicated with their own predicaments. Jasper's obsessed with finding a way to give Sybil's loss meaning and Sybil is struggling with her own mind trying to make sense of what she only remembers in dreams. I think, with the concept that nothing happened to the four and maybe the Visitor only snatched Sam himself up, had Jasper and Sybil ever reunited it would be sort of bitter-sweet, maybe even a bit tragic in its own way. Sybil's mind isn't the same anymore, and to an extent neither is Jasper's. Sybil has no memory of Jasper save for a few things that happen to cross her mind when she speaks with Sam, and Jasper was so caught up in trying to make sense of Sybil's death and find meaning for it, he probably doesn't really remember a lot about Sybil himself. Meeting again leaves them both with the very real realization that they know this person, but they're not sure how or why. Sybil's memory could probably be mended given time, but it wouldn't be the same with just how bad it's gotten. She wouldn't immediately feel anything for Jasper. She's friendly, so I'd imagine she'd be friendly with Jasper given her interactions with Sam in game, but it's not the same sort of love they may have had for each other in the past. Jasper's own metal state is kind of a mess with what Beryl says (don't even get me started on Beryl and her weirdly large amount of info on Jasper and Sybil that neither of the other two have.), I think it would take a lot of time to even really...find his footing? In being able to re-connect with Sybil once finding out shes alive. He was so caught up in assuming she was gone and focusing on the Visitor, now he has Sybil here in front of him and he wouldn't really know what to do about that. Like what do you MEAN the person he so desperately cared for and worked for was there the whole time living next to the worlds most average looking guy having day to day conversation with him.

Its like re-connecting with a friend you haven't seen in years and trying really hard to remember everything you knew about them all over again. Its upsetting, because they both know they know each other but they can't immediately "know" each other again, but I feel maybe they'd be able to hit it off again over time. I don't think Jasper would ever judge Sybil for being cursed or what she looked like as a cursed. I do think Sybil would be a bit hurt over the fact that Jasper would put himself in that sort of danger just for her, you know, given the whole insisting no one look outside ever thing. But I think they'd still get through it steadily together.
