inspired by some of @ohbo-ohno puppy play wiritngs/asks. my spin on a ghoap x reader pupply play dynamic
the very important thing about puppy simon is that he’s only able to get into that headspace once you and soap are aware of his very specific condition. when they’re both in puppy space, soap is to be submissive to you and simon, and when simon is in puppy space he is only to be submissive to you.
he says it like a challenge and it makes you share an incredulous look with soap. it takes everything in you to not just look at simon and say duh. but you don't, because you try to be a good partner, so you just reassure him, of course, i understand, si.
when they play tug of war simon always wins, when you give them treats simon always licks it out of your hand first, he hogs your lap when him and soap scramble up on the couch. if you didn't know how much soap enjoyed being out ranked by simon you would have scolded him a long time ago, but you knew as soon as bad boy would leave your lips simon would lose trust in the arrangement.
and sometimes you and soap use it to your advantage. once you realize simon takes pride in correcting johnny's behavior towards you, you and johnny start conspiring against him. sometimes johnny will pretend to nip at your finger while you're hand feeding them little morsels of treats, you playing the part perfectly, letting out a shocked and pained little johnny.
you see the flash of excitement in johnny's eyes before simon is on him. throwing him back on the ground with his body weight, face in johnny's neck, growling. johnny is quick to present his belly in defeat, bulge visible in his loose sweats.
you crouch down to slid a hand up the back of simon's neck, cautiously, as to not startle him. good boy, si, thank you for protecting me, you coo close to his ear. he chuffs and nuzzles his head into the palm of your hand at the praise.
you take his chin in your hand, forcing him to look at you, now, what are we gonna do with our bad boy?
