Oscar Monday Twitter would be 4000% less annoying if EEAAO lost either the directing or writing categories, both of which it won over better nominees.

#shouldn't have won writing because the emotional turn in the 3rd act hinges on is not on the page but is sold by yeoh's and hsu's acting #i'd give the screenwriting oscar to banshees over it without batting an eye #directing should've either gone to spielberg or field but it was such a weird field of candidates #but what is to be expected in an industry that cares less and less about the individual craft and more of a popularity contest!#even eeaao fans can agree that last part is the only way you can explain jlc winning over stephanie hsu
