as a teen, being the same age as the faves was always so fun! and growing older then them felt so disappointing

as i've gotten older, i've def stopped really paying attention to that tho - i think it's partially thanks to the fact i've needed less "daydreaming about being fwends with my faves" escapism from life, as i'm def in a better mental place now then i was back then.

that being said, none of those disappointments i had when i was younger hit harder then the hatoful age realizations i've had today, about the fact i turned 26 really recently

#magical girl yoshi #not to get depressing on main but part of the punch here is def the surprise i made it far enough to be older then the adults of hatoful #there was def a time where i did not expect to live this long! and i'm really proud of myself for defying that expectation #but it's still mildly difficult to grapple with tbch so #but mostly it's just that i always forget shuu isn't older #he feels like he should be more in his thirties imo #i'd push for a bit older if it wasn't for ryuuji being sort of a father figure for him #+ the fact his human design looks much too young and pretty to be any older then thirties or so #this bitch can't be the same age as me. wtf. that's impossible.
