applied for the research director job!!! cross your fingers for me!!!!
#pretty happy with the cover letter i think#i guess it's not HUGELY different from the older version but#i think it just flows better and is a bit more specific#and now i have a good mentoring-specific paragraph i can swap in/out in other letters#downsides of this job: i think i'd have to be back in-office five days a week (though i'm curious about whether it'd be relatively self-set)#and it'd be a 13k paycut unless i can somehow negotiate a bit higher#and i'd have to find full time childcare eventually#but it's still over my 'mandatory minimum salary so i won't be freaking out about childcare costs' number#and idk being at home is fine but i LOVE being on campus#i think the best version would be if there turned out to be some hybrid flexibility within the job but#even if i have to commute i still think it's worth it#i'm so excited about the job itself aaaaaaaa
