#i'm willingly creating Lotor and Acxa lore

no one look at me 😔 I haven’t been VTLL productive at all, I’ve only backed up the old chapters. And reread the first half of part 1. And basically finished writing it. Because I can. But I probably shouldn’t be rereading/editing until I finish the whole chapter.

I’ve got the stuff listed out. I know how I want to get from point A to point B. I kinda don’t know what I’m doing, though. I'm very tempted to scrap what I've got for Lotacxa and start fresh. I brain dump a lot on here, sorry LOL. This is just me lowkey ranting again beneath the cut 🙃

One of the obstacles I had was trying not to get icked out by their relationship (I don't count this as spoiling, cause Lotacxa's been hinted at for a while now) because Lotor is 10,000+ years??? That's so gross to me cause Acxa isn't even close to that old. I'm making her like around 100 (?) years old when they meet for the first time. Maybe younger. It really is still up for determination. Anyway, Lotor's too old. So I figured it out 😁 and will have to do massive changes to early Volume 2 to make it cohesive when round 2 edits start.

I'm gonna make Lotor go into cryosleep for a few thousand years, like y/n, Allura, and Coran. Cause I can ‼️ Idk why I didn't think about this earlier. I just—I get so confused, you know? Like, I'm taking things too literally and it's blocking my ability to write cause I want to have it all figured out first.

And I'm looking at the Twitter timeline I've been referencing, but if I start thinking about it, I don't necessarily have to follow it. For the most part, I have been, but the parts of Lotor have been messing with my head. I'm rewatching the Oriande episode/rereading chapter 26.

The past I'm stuck on is when the timeline says this:

- 9 500 years (approx) - Lotor is exiled. - 9 000 years (approx.) - Lotor’s Altean Colony is established.

This is fine canon I guess, but in terms of VTLL it's not really fine. I'm interpreting the excerpt of dialogue a little bit differently.

This will be edited later!! Season 5, episode 6 "White Lion"/Chapter Twenty-Six: Sacrifice, or Death:

LOTOR: "You know, I envy you growing up with King Alfor, Princess. I always wanted to be an explorer and learn about the universe. Father was only interested in conquering it. He once put me in charge of a planet for a year running the quintessence mining and getting to know the local population." He finishes climbing, patting his hands against his armor to rid himself of the dust. Lotor holds his arm out and I reluctantly grab it, standing. My eyes linger on the sprawling mountains, vegetation, and bodies of water. It's so beautiful here. Allura tilts her head as she looks at Lotor. ALLURA: "What happened?" LOTOR: "Rather than employ the usual Galran methods of subjugation, I worked alongside the leadership of the planet, learning their customs. We'd only extract as much quintessence as could be replenished and I enjoyed my time there quite a bit. When Father found out what was happening, he ordered me to destroy the planet. I refused and he sent me away." Nodding slowly, I sigh. (Y/N): "That was Father. Stage a coup—imprisonment. Refuse to kneel—exile." LOTOR: "Disagree—banishment." ALLURA: "At least you stood up for those people." He scoffs. LOTOR: "He destroyed them all. I was powerless to stop him. I spent the following centuries searching for clues about my Altean heritage—another culture destroyed by Zarkon."

How I'm interpreting it is that Lotor was decently young when he got put in charge, and after Ven'tar's planet got destroyed, that's when he spent centuries researching about Alteans. Centuries could be two. It doesn't have to be super duper long.

I think I'm gonna make him no older than 2,000 years old. We'll see. I still have no idea 😵‍💫

I also haven't been VTLL productive because well... I've been seeing tiktok edits again. My Batman superhero craze came back—there’s just something about a muscled, hulking man in a mask that makes me wanna turn him into a simpy mess who’s obsessed with the FMC. It’s my Kryptonite (I have a Clark Kent one-shot that’s maybe a few hundred words long that’s been marinating so maybe I’ll get to that).

There’s something in general about the MMC being obsessed with the FMC that flips a light switch in my brain. I love it, I need it, I want it—you know? I need to read a fantasy with a romance subplot that delivers this tbh.

I'm probably gonna keep ignoring chapter 32 and continue doing my Stray Black Bat one-shot 😭
