After no luck w Waco's used and independent bookshops I gave in and just ventured to Barnes & Noble (which I've concluded is basically American Waterstones. Or maybe Waterstones is British B&N given the ages of the chains) instead and finally, finally found a copy of The Power Broker

#i have been looking for that book for more than a year nobody in the uk fucking has it #i've searched waterstones and foyles up and down the land and every second hand bookshop in hay-on-wye #even big foyles in london had every other robert caro book except that one #pointless post #otoh in one used bookstore i did find by myself and then some and kath hepburn's book about the african queen
