A scenario about an s/o who just finished taking a bath and asks Kokichi to blow dry/brush her hair

I love love love this prompt, anon ♡ Thanks so much for the cute request!Fluffy or angsty Kokichi always helps me get back into writing. ~Mod Nagito

You gingerly stepped out of the bathtub and onto the fluffy mat, your toes curling around the soft fabric as you wrapped a towel around your body, patting and wiping yourself dry. Baths were always nice, but getting out of them was the worst, even when the water had already started to cool down and you were getting all wrinkly. 

Now sufficiently dry, you slipped on your pajamas and began to blot your hair dry. But the water continued to stubbornly cling to your air, and you sighed. Maybe you’d have to ask for some help. 

“Kokichi?” you called from the bathroom. In a short while, the door opened and his head popped in. 

“Oh, are you finally done with your bath?” And running his gaze across your body, a smile stretches across his face playfully. “Oh, and you’re all dressed, too. Here I was thinking I’d get to see s/o undressed.” 

You puff up your cheeks, blushing slightly. 

“Don’t joke around like that!” you pout. 

Kokichi steps inside, some of the warm air leaving the room as he does so. 

“So, what was it that you called me for? Did you need something? Certainly not clothes,” he teases, a mischievous glint in his purple eyes. “Although I could arrange that,” he laughs. 

You sigh, recalling your unbearably wet hair, and hold out a hairdryer.

“Oh, I was wondering if maybe you could help me blow dry my hair? I can’t seem to dry it properly.”

A hint of surprise enters those dark lilac eyes for a moment, and then he grins. 

“Sure, sure!” he says, taking the hairdryer from you. “Whatever my dear s/o needs,” he sings. 

You feel your cheeks warm, but you can’t tell if it’s due to the residue warmth of the steam or the happiness blooming in your chest from his words. 

Nonetheless, he has you sit on a chair he pulls up, and he stands behind you, gently raking his fingers across your scalp and combing through your wet hair as he switches on the blowdryer and attempts to dry your hair. His touch is kind, although his fingertips are a bit cold. The warm air travels across the landscape of your hair, slowly but surely taking the dampness from it. 

You close your eyes, relishing the feeling of his touch and the warmth. It was soothing, and you felt some of the tension from the day leave you. 

Kokichi turns off the hairdryer after some time, and combs through your hair with a brush delicately yet firmly. He feels your head loll backward and drop onto his chest, and realizes you’ve fallen asleep. He allows a small, secret smile to shape his lips, and somehow manages to bring you to your bed, whether by carrying you or dragging your chair. 

He turns to leave but feels a tug at his clothes. Maybe it had caught on something. He looks back, only to see your hand holding on tightly to the piece of fabric, and lets out a sigh. 

“Geez, you sure are helpless,” he complains quietly. “You can’t dry your hair on your own or go to bed by yourself.” 

But he obliges your unconscious desire and crawls into bed with you carefully so as to not disturb your peaceful, sleeping state. As he watches your face, bearing none of the cares it held before, free and lineless, he reaches out and plays with your hair a little. He falls asleep doing so with one arm around you.

Omake

You feel a heavy weight on you when you wake up, and sleepily open your eyes only to see Kokichi’s face right in front of yours. He’s still asleep, but not for long. 

“K-Kokichi!” you stammer, and you see him come back to life, his eyes opening, and he rubs the sleep out of his eyes. 

“What is it now? You’re so loud!” he whines, groaning to emphasize his point. 

“W-Why are you in my b-bed?” you ask nervously, feeling your face turn red. 

A roguish look rises to his face, one that you don’t like one bit, even if it was one aspect of his personality that you adored most. 

“Oh? You’re the one who begged me to stay, you know. ‘Kokichi, don’t leave me!’ and the like,” he imitates in a lilting, childish manner. 

You sputter with embarrassment.

“Y-You’re lying! I wouldn’t say something like that.” 

He nickers wickedly. 

“Maybe, maybe not. You’ll never know since you were asleep.” 

You cover your eyes and moan in irritation. 

“Ugh, Kokichi! Why do I put up with you?” 

“Because you love me?” he answers for you, grinning like crazy. 

You only flush a deeper red, silent as your hands fall from your face. And then he opens his big mouth again. 

“Oh, and how could you have fallen asleep on the chair like that while the blowdryer was so loud? That was a lot of trouble, you know. I had to drag you over to your bed. And then you grabbed my clothes and wouldn’t let me go,” he gripes. “Why do I put up with you?” he says, his dark eyes sparkling. 

“Because you love me?” you reply and then realize what you’ve just said, biting your lip. 

He leans in and kisses the tip of your nose cutely. 

“That’s right!” he confirms happily. 

“Are you lying?” you ask, giving him a look. 

“What do you think?” he says. 

You pull the blankets up and more tightly around yourself, trying to stifle your shyness. 

“N-No, you’re not,” you respond, trying to stop your constant colorful blushes. 

He only smiles in response, and the two of you close your eyes again, somehow getting back to sleep for a sleepy, cuddly weekend morning together.

some asks - sorry some of these are kind of old. I only get around to answering stuff once in a blue moon.

I do not! Nothing against it but I just don’t personally enjoy the process so I don’t use it in my personal work. Too much transforming and filtering.. too little actual drawing. I have however used it for professional work and sometimes I will sketch things individually and collage them together to make it easier for me to work depending on the scale. But yeah, no photobashing normally.

Thank you! (post in reference) I didn’t use any perspective grids for that drawing but occasionally for bigger pieces that require a stronger adherence to perspective I’ll use the Perspective Tools extension by Sergey Kritsky which is ABSOULTELY worth the price here on gumroad if you’re a photoshop-user - makes grids very easy to set up. You can actually see some of the grids in my process work if you’re looking for it lol

I used to be such a square abt it like “bluh perspective is just a bunch of lines i dont need a tool to do it for me like a DUMB BABY. I can just draw the grids myself and itll be good enough!!! :\” dont be like that LOL, I started using perspective tools for work last year and ported it over to my personal work so damn fast its like one of the best artistic decisions ive made. If you can make less work for yourself, PLEASE make less work for yourself.

I will probably draw naruto again because like every 4 years of my life I go through a naruto phase. I have drawn dangan ronpa before many many years ago and I gotta say the only time I will ever draw it again will be if I’m commissioned to lol...Nothing against it personally, it’s just not really my thing. Kiritetsu+Colossus.... I would but honestly I don’t even know what I’d draw, I feel like I covered it with that one drawing. But if you’ve got an idea... you can always commission me!!! Uhhhh they’re good! I like them! Yusuke’s character arc is maybe like my favorite or second favorite in the game and I love Ryuji first and foremost for max mittlemans voice acting and secondly because he is just so...so much better than P4 Yosuke who I truly could not stand.

I’m not big on Mishima but I think he’s an incredibly well written depiction of like. that dude in class who you didn’t really mean to talk to but ended up talking to and now its a little weird. I really like that event where you run into shinya while hanging out with mishima and shinyas like “whos this your friend” and ren is like “no, king, hes no one” LOL this is mostly because I just really like shinya. 

ships.... I like yusuke/ryuji a lot, just aesthetically and personality wise its an interesting dynamic. I like ryuji/ann bc theyre good friends. I like ann/yusuke if I close my eyes to all the early plot stuff and just pretend theyre like.....fujiko and goemon from lupin III LMAO. ryuji/makoto? kinda woke?? I mean I feel lesbian makoto deep in my bones but also their showtime opened my eyes a lil. I think they could bond over action movies. mishima/protag is kind of fun in like a sad pathetic way.. I’m a little interested in mishima/JOKER actually bc i like identity porn plotlines lol.
